I can't make my mind up. On one hand I look at the poor weekly releases and get fed up. On the other I have Donkey Kong TF on pre order and will soon pre order Mario Kart 8. I might even buy Call of Duty Ghosts because I doubt my HD6670 would be able to run it. Also I'm looking to buy all the Master System VC games (I love the Master System).
Does the Wii U have enough quality games in your opinions?
I love the Wii U. Switch is getting better.
Where are the Dreamcast, Saturn, GC emulations?
All time favourite consoles are Master System, Atari 2600 & 3DO.
By the standards of the first year or so of a normal console launch, yes. By the standards of a post-Steam world where Sony is paying every other dev ever to get ports to make up for the inevitable terrible first year it would otherwise have, not really.
My opinion...I dunno. But it does blatantly have the best year this year based on upcoming titles that actually interest me so there's that.
Well I guess 'quality' is subjective, but ignoring all the multiplatform titles, the Wii U has top tier Mario 3d (must play), Pikmin 3 (must play), Wonderful 101 (must play and is a real challenge and hilarious), Lego City (which is just funnier and more polished than other lego titles), Wind Waker (remake perhaps but still AAA if you've never played it), and Monster Hunter 3 (which I just started but am getting hooked on), Then in 2nd tier it has Sonic Lost World, NSMBU and NSLU, Zombi U and Nintendoland (which is how you make a collection of mini games). Then 3rd tier optional is Game and Wario, Wii party U, Wii fit U, and Wii sports U. 6 must haves, 5 solid, and 4 optionals, plus 3rd party multi's with the added use of the gamepad. Not to mention a load of indie and retro on the e shop, and all the really good Wii games that you might have not played. And that's just year oee.
Now knock out all the non exclusives on the other systems, and see what's left. If you think Nintendo's games are great, then you have to buy a Wii U to enjoy them. No one else can come close to making 'Nintendo' type games.
I'm not sure if this is supposed to actually be a gameplay similarity to Balloon Fight followed by "they stole the Mario 3 pipe" joke or if just trolling, but if so, well played.
Unfortunately, I would say "no", unless you own a 3DS and Wii U in tandem like I do. In that case, I have Bravely Default now to play for a couple weeks, and then I will pick up Donkey Kong Country. But as far as major releases, things are looking a little thin. The indie pipeline is really healthy, though, and there are a lot of cool games on the way that will probably be launching later this year and through 2015.

@PAAppleyard: I guessing you came here for advices on which games you want. By the way, you can play Sega Master System on the Wii U through Wii mode which mean you will not able to use Miiverse, buttons mapping, or Off-TV play for those Sega Master System games to let you know. It is depend on the person's taste. Some say it is not worth while other say it is worth it. In MY own opinion, I don't think PS4, Xbox One, or even Wii U worth buying right NOW. Only VC titles that supported Miiverse, buttons mapping, and Off-TV play features are some of the NES and SNES titles on the Wii U.
No, because many of them are rather uninspired sequels to existing IPs, and they don't do a good job of showing off the Gamepad. In fact, I'd say it's the most uninteresting lineup of games out of any Nintendo console so far.

Seriously bro, get your credit card ready and buy these games. Don't ask, just buy them.
1. Monster hunter 3 ultimate
2. Pikmin 3
3, Super mario 3d world
These 3 games alone will entertain you for the next 2 months.

Yes and No. Yes for genre specific games, as there seems to be a good cross section of beloved franchises, but "No" because there is less to chose from within those genres. For example there are a zillion First Person Shooters for the other consoles, and I love the genre but I'm not at all impressed with what's available for the Wii U. I've actually been going back to the Wii library for gaming and enjoying titles I never played before I sold my Wii back in 2006. By that token the Wii U has tremendous value for me, but because there are so many Wiis out there I can see how consumers are not at all ready to get into the U, and I personally think selection of native games has little to do with it's diminished sales, although it's nice to see new titles released and boosts confidence. I'm more excited about the idea of DS games coming to VC as there are so many I never played.
I can't comment on quality which is subjective anyway so I'll go by what I know: the Wii U does have enough games that interest me.
However I'm not a hardcore gamer, I don't need a new big release every month to survive and can go just fine for months between since there's other things that occupy my time more than games. I also missed a lot of the Wii era having completely lost interest in games mid way through last gen and I'm a 90's kid that believes nothing can get better than that era so I'll mostly be playing older games that I missed or want to play again anyway.
There's close to 10 games on the system I want already which is rather out of the norm for me since there's never more than that I want to play in a typical system's entire lifespan. So yeah, I'd say the Wii U is doing alright so far... at least in getting titles that interest me.

Additionally, you can't create save states that allow you to go back to a save you made before.
You can only resume the game at the point you left it when you shut it down in your previous session.
