Topic: Easy idea to "save" Nintendo!!!!

Yeah, we are getting to a point where even hardcore Nintendo fans are losing faith. I don't really care if the Wii U is failing as long as I get the titles I want and they cater to me. When you said you want a new Starfox or F-Zero, dude, I am totally behind that. I don't care if it won't sell the system, I'll have games to play that I wanted to play for a long time.

So far in the Wii U lifespan we have heard that they didn't understand the market, they don't understand how to advertise their product, and they didn't realise just how darn hard it was to develop in HD. This is from the "video game only" company with the longest history of the big 3.

easy on the realm of the ideas, but think how hard it would be to filter all the trolls and the things wanted by the minority to then make a second filtering to remove games that are truly wanted but have a high chance of failing and that's just the beggining, it'd take longer to research and filter information than it would by simply making safe predictions(what Nintendo's doing right now)

Way to save Nintendo, hhmmmm, I GOT IT! How about the kill the Wii U off in 2015, and launch a new console in 2016!

I just want to put my happy pants on again after Nintendo Direct today. The struggle of a Nintendo Fanboyman is real lol.

Release a new console when PS4 (and maybe Xbox One) are hitting their stride, mobile processors are even more advanced, and releasing way before the competition much like the Dreamcast and Wii U did? How could it fail!!!!

Not that I think a new console is solution but the Nes & Playstation was released 2 years before the major rivals and "won" their consoel war and mobiles wont force out home consoles anytime soon.

I'm personally interested in seeing how all the platforms do long term. I completely understand PS4 and X1 selling like hotcakes when new but I think this will be an interesting generation. I don't expect the next-next gen to be like oh here are 3 new boxes for your living room from the same players in presumably 2018-2019. Who knows I sure as hell don't.

As a side note, I do not believe Microsoft X1 sales stats at all. I have never ever seen a new console stock piled in the way this system is. Just curious and I personally hope the PS4 crushes them. MS is not a game company and their sole motivation has been to control your living room.

Yeah it doesn't huh, MS stated before launch of original Xbox that's one of their goals.

They then used their money to buy exclusives, DLC, etc.

I'm not a fan of their business practices and even though Nintendo and Sony are businesses too out to make money their games seem much better.

Microsoft quotes shipped numbers not sold. It is a random observation that in my travels for my job between Mass-CT-NY I have never seen a new console stockpiled like the X1. I've never heard of electronic store employees being told to promote 1 platform over another. This again makes no sense

Another "how to save" thread! Quick someone forward this to Nintendo, they don't know how to do business as well as people from the internets!

Seriously, if you want to express and opinion, and not discuss options, then please set up a blog.

Did everyone miss the part where this was a bored rant, with possible options. Love how everyone who hates these threads reads them. There is a blizzard outside.

Everyone is correct, releasing software with built up demand is a bad move.

1. PS4 has outsold XB1 but there are still PS4 's on store shelves. So how is MS numbers so in unbelievable?
2. MS has been a game company for long time. Ever heard of PC? MS has had its own PC gaming division a long time.
3. Sony obviously has same ambitions of a all in one device. Just look at all PS4 can do.
