Can't say that I care
Also, with it NOT being previously released on Nintendo consoles, I wouldn't see the point in them releasing this set for WiiU anyway

I would see the point as people who haven't played the series before ME3 on the Wii U want to play ME1 to see how it started. I thought the whole point of the series was to use your same character you made from ME1 and play through 2 & 3 with that same character..... I honestly don't understand why the Wii U would start out with the last game of the series.

I don't know. Maybe they started with ME3 because it's the newest, flashiest game in the series? From a player's viewpoint, it makes more sense to port the first. To EA, it'll make more sense to port the third.

Also, I like how some people in this thread wanted EA to revamp all three titles and port them to Wii U at once, in time for the launch window, and charge $59.99, just so they wouldn't get "screwed." Good luck with that. e_e

There are more Nintendo gamers unfamiliar with Mass Effect than anywhere else, and considering that the Wii U version is coming after the series ended earlier this year, it makes the most sense to put the trilogy on Wii U. EA knew the trilogy was coming. They should have opted to skip ME3 in favor of bringing the trilogy on Wii U. Maybe they wouldn't have hit the launch window but with ME3 selling beside the trilogy, I don't see ME3 selling much now anyway. EA really dropped the ball there. Now early Wii U owners will be buying other games instead.

...in my pants.

Now no-one is going to buy Mass Effect 3, but all will go out buying Assassin's Creed III, Ninja Gaiden 3, Bayonetta 2, Darksiders II?

I looked it up now... Mass Effect 3 DLC is about $870.

So is the Wii U version with all the DLC the best deal or not?

Yeah and EA will blame Nintendo for there poor sales, when it's EAs fault... Just like that WiiWare shooter MDK2 or something

And this is why I don't buy games developed/published by EA. Have you seen what they (want to) do to Valve?

I totally agree, well said Gamesake. This would have been good on EA to bring the trilogy not just the 3rd part of this game. The wait would have been well worth it believe me. The story is immersive, interesting and you really get attached to the characters, an interactive decision making story just doesn't cut it for a universe this big. Shame on you EA. I can't believe stuff like this is starting so early in the console cycle.
