So you're telling me, should I buy a PS3 I can get a collector's edition of all three Mass Effect games for only $60? Even the first one?

Or get it for the XBox 360. But yes, everuthing before the Wii U Mass Effect 3.

BTW: this is totally the worst thing EA has EVEEER done. Clearly.

also literally everyone has been doing stuff like this since the Orange Box this is nothing new did we forget about Metroid Prime Trilogy already also how is this a bad thing if it's priced as well as most other collections not to mention Wii U not needing this because it has a decent launch and is avoiding the lack of consistent releases of previous Nintendo systems apparently

too much dumb for my brain

Does anybody know how much all of the Mass Effect 3 DLC costs on Xbox360 and PS3? I ask because if it is expensive DLC like 60€/50$ then that would be a fair trade for not getting the Trilogy (because the trilogy Mass Effect 3 doesn't have the DLC and the new features and the enhanced ending)

I wasn't too fond of Mass Effect 1 anyway (I wouldn't replay it), and if 2 is explained enough through the interactive comic (they say you can make all important decisions of Mass Effect 1 & 2 in there) then I still favour the Wii U Special Edition.

You do know the extended ending is free on all platforms?

Yes you make all the important decisions. Do you also get to create relationships with characters? Or how about choosing to save a civilian rather than killing them.

The only decisions you make are close to the final chapters of the previous game. They carry over to the next, but you will have 0 emotional attachment to ANY of the characters that are in previous games.

Have fun entering a trilogy in the final chapter.

EA is a troll because it doesn't have the obscene resources it would take to port all three Mass Effect games to the Wii U simultaneously?

Riiiight.

Yes, I'm sure the 2nd (arguably third) biggest publisher in the entirety gaming industry doesn't have the resources for that.

As much as gamers seem to think they're entitled to unlimited entertainment, game publishers are not charities and no, not even EA has the resources for a project that would be entirely unprofitable.

@sony_70
Nobody is forcing you to buy an inferor version of any game and or compilation just cause of the excuse of a novelty console which got zero games to play

Thank you Stereoman for that lovely quote that fits perfectly into this situation.

He never said he was upset it wasn't going to be on the WiiU. Nor did he say he was being forced to buy the game on the WiiU.

Yo nintendo fans enjoy your port of the last game in a triology while we release the collector's edtion with all three games on 360 and PS3.

You'd think something like this would also be on Wii U.

Def going to be double dipping on this. Mass Effect is probably my favorite series this Generation and I'd pay to have a nice edtion with all of the games. Will probably give my other copies too my cousin to have.

read again aviator
surely he is rescuing his cousin from buying an inferior WiiU version, when on the other hand all three games should be enjoyed altogether.

Because all of the other games are already available on the Wii U.

So nobody can tell me how much all the Mass Effect 3 DLC is on Xbox360 and PS3?

Aviator: I said I don't want to replay the first game, I'd rather play this interactive comic if it's well made. And I don't think saving the life of one person in Mass Effect 2 changes the sequel dramatically, because if it would then I assume it's a main character, and if it's a main character you can choose to rescue him/her in the interactive comic.

Of course you get to miss parts of the Mass Effect universe, but the Mass Effect universe was there, even before Mass Effect 1.
When I played Mass Effect 1 I always thought I was missing something, being thrown into that vast universe with all the different species and culture and stuff. Spent hours reading all the background info and the galaxy history in the in-game spaceguide. It feels like playing a complex Star Wars RPG when you don't know anything about the Star Wars universe.

Yeah and everybody knows, an interactive comic doesn't make up for two individual games, that's not the question.
I asked how much the DLC on the other systems is, and if it's a fair trade for not having two games (that you can get pretty cheap nowadays anyway).

the trilogy is just the 3 games put in 1 package, with the ps3 version they are porting over me1, however the 2 other parts already exists...

if the wiiu were to also get the trilogy it will have the me3 version that was released on the wiiu.. ie with the addons
