So NOW, EA will not thier bank account benifit as they had planned due to Xbones DRM u-turn, and if the (Rumour is true.. probably is tbh) that Ps4's Sudden drop of Drm restrictions after the backlash cauaed by Microsofts initial drm anouncment prior to e3, it seem The WiiU is indeed capable of running Frostbyte3....
Any intelligent NL reader knew this already of course but its good to see EA now having to back-peddle on so many of thier Anti-WiiU lies... this being the latest. http://mynintendonews.com/2013/07/01/ea-says-frostbite-3-is-p...
They never said it couldn't run on Wii U, they aren't backtracking. They said that initial test runs didn't go very well and that it wasn't worth going down that path.
Well,duh EA! Everybody knew it could run Frostbite 3(heck, you can make it run on PS3/360) but the difference is that Xbox ONE and PS4 will give them return of profits when they make games usingFrostbite 3 for those systems unlike Wii U.

That comment was regarding FB2, they didn't even bother trying FB3 on WiiU, and was described as not feesable due to WiiU not even being able to handle FB2 good enough.

Can you read the future?
PS4 could trip and break its knee cap for all we know. Try waiting a couple months before making unfounded claims.
That's what the rest of us are doing.
EDIT: Also, it would hardly cost anything in comparison to PS4 or Xbox One to run a FB3 game on Wii U. Spend money to make money.
The less you spend, the less you have to make, especially in comparison.

They didn't it couldn't work, they said they thought it was a bad idea to go down that path. Nothing has changed. They've always said it's just not in their best intrests.
@Jaz007
EA wasn't very clear with their words on whether it ran or not. People just assumed it was because Wii U was weak. Now tons of people look like idiots, except the people that knew all along.

A lot has changed, Mr. Crackerjack. A lot has changed. Their original statement put forth the notion that they weren't going to even dip a toe in them thar waters, but now they're admitting there seems to be a bit o' sunlight reflecting off the pond. Or at least, if you tilt your head to the left and close your eyes, the algae doesn't look as bad as they originally thought. Maybe no rashes this go around.
@RallyDefault Two things. First, talking in parables isn't your strong spot. Second, they never said we will never develop for Wii U. There was no backtracking.

And the Xbone doesn't have that possibility? If anything Microsoft's been digging themselves a ditch with that thing up until recently. And even with all the take backs, who's to say they won't add such horrendous features later down the road? Not outright saying they will, but let's face it, this is Microsoft we're talking about.
