That is not how I ever viewed April Fool's Day. They are pranks. Typically good natured ones. People have fallen for a lot of April Fools Day jokes. It's to catch the gullible off guard. Optimus Prime in Titanfall, Peter Dinklage leaving Game of Thrones, Legend of Zelda the Movie. These were implausible, but stil in the realm of possibility.
The Frostbite comment was in no way a joke, but a slam against the Wii U. In no way was the tweet good natured. They basically said that there engine was to good for the slow and underpowered Wii U. I'll reiterate that I'm not offfended by the comment, but I did find it stupid.
