These rumors keep getting more interested. If nothing else, at least they get us more excited for E3.
Those aren't quite rumors. They're (mostly) baseless speculation by members on the Neo GAF boards. Wii U Daily is misleading its readers by calling them rumors. Rumors are unverified information that are at least presumed to come from a source with inside information.

Ah, but what if it was a speculative rumor!

If we see anything of Zelda U, it will probably be no more than a SS type image reveal, like a key visual for the game.
Enough to whet the appetite, enough to get the board loonies frothing and debating and analyzing... But not much more.
Retro's game... I really hope it is an action adventure with scope and production. It doesn't need to be Metroid, but if you offered me that I would bite your hand off.
But more than anything, I'd like to see a title or 2 that we don't know about, that are fresh, that are substantial.

What's the difference? You can claim sources with any ridiculous speculation

It's a gif that was doing the rounds at one of the last few E3s. When Nintendo was showing Wii U/3DS stuffs and everyone else had nothing to talk about. Also EA being EA.
Thought it was appropriate given Microsoft's XB1 unveiling and EA's latest shenanigans. Didn't look like it was going to be like this a couple of weeks ago but lately it's been surprisingly close.
I'd be very happy with that list of rumours. I've heard from several places that Retro's next game is Star Tropics, but they could have all just been based off that. I'm not the biggest fan of the original, but it's been so long that it's almost certainly going to be an entirely different game now, like Kid Icarus: Uprising, so that's almost as good as new IP for me.
I'm also happy to wait a few years for Zelda, as long as they give us Mario. 3D Mario will turn around the Wii U, there's no doubt about that. I think a lot of Nintendo fans don't realise that Zelda and (especially) Metroid aren't very big sellers at all, but a 3D Mario will pull in gamers of all kinds.
These rumors are quite interesting even if they aren't based on any, "sources." I have to say, i'm really excited for E3 this year, and it's going to be a long 18 days until we finally get to find out the truth.

Cannot wait for Smash, we are finally going to see what it'll look like for Wii U & 3DS! No doubt there will be a trailer. If all goes well we will see some gameplay footage, something I'm really want to see. Last but not least I hope for a release date, at least saying what season it'll come out in. So footage & a release date is what I need most!
