that still doesn't ******** explaining how one being better makes the other worse. by that logic the wii was the worst attempt out because the other systems do more. i could give an more inappropriate. example but ban hammer.

Think of that awesome Hardee's burger. Your favorite choice of a thickburger with everything on it. Then go to McDonalds and order a McDouble. You'll see a difference in quality.
So basically, take every aspect of R&C (any of them, I don't care which game you choose), and compare it to every aspect of Galaxy 2. To you, it might be better. To me, it is not. Every aspect of R&C is overshadowed by Mario, IMO.
Anyway, my original point was that Waveboy has different preferences. If he doesn't like anything from Sony don't persuade him. He has his own reasons to why he doesn't like it, I'm sure.

You're just being a fanboy in the end. Trust me. I'm a fanboy at times too. I love Mario but still very much enjoy R&C. Oddly enough I still enjoy Sonic games....when they're good.

Nope. I've played both franchises and given them a chance. I just choose Nintendo's games (sometimes), over Sony's and for good reason.
Which =/= a fanboy. Just because I prefer one over the other doesn't make me a fanboy.

Mario doesn't have guns. I think that should speak for itself why your argument is completely idiotic. Next thing you know you're gonna try to convince me that Mario overshadows Ninja Gaiden.
I don't know what I just read. Of course Mario doesn't have guns. Who cares about that? Better yet did I answer the right question? It's my preference. If you can't accept that then that sounds more like a personal problem.
Yes, because I would definitely compare the two. Ninja Gaiden has never really interested me so I don't really know much about the series.

That doesn't surprise me. Gamers to have a penchant to try and compare completely incomparable things.
To compare: I've never seen a movie critic or fan compare Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (R&C) to White Chicks (Mario). Sure, they both fall under the category of "comedy movie" (Platformer), but there is not a single thing that is similar between either of them.
BTW you're all wrong. Commander Keen is a better platformer than any of the Mario games, and all the R&C games.
I'm sure someone would but not me. That really wouldn't get me far. Besides, like I said, I haven't really gotten into that series and for me to develop an opinion on what little I've played would only show that I'm ignorant.
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
that's a terrible analogy. White Chicks is a terribly reviewed movie and Mario is one of the best platformers of all time. I'd say it's like Monty Python and the Holy Grail of comedy films.
You're right that Commander Keen was a great game, but Duke Nukem 2 was better.
Not only does the 3DS come with an SD card, but it also happens to come pre-installed with one, additional dimension.
Anyway, I predict that Nintendo will release a huge blowout of Wii U information to the public. The 3DS will be covered first, though, and potentially have new games announced. They will announce that the Nintendo Network will go live on the 3DS the day Wii U hits the retail shelves.
We'll receive (probably) a teaser trailer of Smash Bros. with name revealed and possibly a new mechanic introduced into the gameplay, whatever it is.
Sony? They'll fail on the show floor. Think about it: there were E3 fails every other year starting on 2006 for each of the companies. Sony failed in 2006, Nintendo flopped in 2008, and Microsoft just... sucked at 2010. I think it's a cycle, just like how hardware companies can never conquer more than two generations (NES to SNES, awesome, N64 lost market share, PlayStation 1 and 2 dominated, then PlayStation 3 hit and PlayStation went down the sink).
Microsoft? I don't really care about. Just my opinion though.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.

Well, Sony has the Vita to show off, so there should be plenty of interesting game/software announcements from them. Microsoft also failed hard in E3 2011. Come to think of it, the only stand-out announcement from either of the 3 companies was the Wii U reveal. Last year's E3 was pretty lackluster.
This year, we'll most likely see:
From Nintendo:
The full unveiling of the Wii U
Launch titles, price, Nintendo Network details
New Wii U demos
Tons of new 3DS games
Wii price drop (?)
From Microsoft:
Potential announcement of Xbox 360 successor
Xbox 360 price drop (?)
More Halo 4 info
New info on Crytek's / Microsoft's new game
More multimedia functions for the Xbox 360
Windows 8 gaming features, and how they will integrate it with the Xbox brand (Xbox Live)
More Windows Phone games
More Kinect apps and games (possible announcement of Kinect 2?)
From Sony:
Tons of new Vita games and apps
PSP price drop (?)
PS3 price drop (?)
More info on The Last of Us, possible on-stage demo
More PS Move games (duh)
Official announcement of Sony's Smash Bros. clone ("Title Fight")
Sony always announces a surplus of new software. Last of Us is only one of many. Also, I'm expecting ton of Wii U games announced as well.
Otherwise you hit the nail on the head, Tendo. Insane E3 indeed.
Well I was mostly listing speculation and my wishes, but every E3 seems like it's just more of the same. Outside of new hardware announcements, I'm starting to get bored with E3.
