my problem with the dualshock 3 is lack of weight. some things need that lefty feel in the hand more than others.

@Waveboy It doesn't just look awkward, the Dual Shock's uncomfortable cheese grater d-pad isn't even a pad, it feels like four buttons side by side. Who thought up that stupid idea?

I'll probably watch the Sony/Microsoft conferences JUST to see what the graphics are going to look this time. Especially with rumors back then saying the new XBox will have the visuals of Avatar and stuff like that.

Aside from that...Nintendo better show off Pikmin 3...can't wait to see what that will look like.

i'mgoing to watch all them and maybe slop the Sony one. those are usually boring. just might follow a live bloc.

hopefully some xbox news comes out of ces on Monday.

I'm with Eureka on this one. After seeing the Luminous engine that can produce graphics almost equal to real life and is apparently going to be running on PS3, I think I'm gonna watch. I'm still most excited for the Nintendo conference though.

true, but the fact that sony hasn't significantly changed their interface over the past 17 years demonstrates how little they care about advancing gameplay. sony's opinion of what a new console should do is always "the same thing as last time, but better".

i personally can't stand any playstation controllers, the grips are too small and the sticks are terrible. the 360 controllers may break easily and have awful d pads but they at least feel extremely comfortable to hold.

microsoft didn't bother fixing the RROD with their slim revision and the fact that they released a console that would fail for the majority of consumers in the first place speaks volumes, so i wouldn't exactly put it past them to do it again.

i do think sony will be much more careful about pricing this time though, which makes you wonder how much of a difference in graphics there will be if all 3 systems are designed on a strict budget. the wii u may not be outclassed by sony and microsoft's systems by much after all, but even if it is i think it'll be hard for anyone to complain about the graphics this time. especially if you've only owned a wii...

Sony can't afford to make another ps3. nintendo by nature won't. mircosoft could make a powerful system with out blinking a eye but they wont.

I will defiantly enjoy this years E3. For once I will watch everyone's E3 conference. I don't usually watch Microsoft at all, but I am curious about their new console, if it shows up.

Though Nintendo's is one I will always have the most excitement for.

Ah yeah, that game. Looked pretty cool, too. Too bad it's Nintendo exclusive, I know a friend who would enjoy it.

I still don't believe in the new console rumors. None of the sources are reliable, and they have no reason to put out a new console just yet. Even if I'm proven wrong, though, I don't care. I just got a PS3, my 360 still works, there are still games for me to play on the Wii. I have absolutely no reason to upgrade within the next 5 years, nor can I afford to do so.

i dunno the xbox.rumors a few month ago by Paul thurrrott were pretty credible.

But I'm expecting the new xbox to be at CES. beyond the point they will be showing off windows 8 and windows phone. this ismircosofts last year at the show and what's the best way too go out.

beyond that i expect kinect 2.0 to be shown for a late 2012 release.

It is pretty funny to see some ones here fully focused on the controller, and thinking that everything about a game depends on it (and at the same time defending the 2D side scrolling games as top gaming tech in 2012). Console games are still far far behind PC ones, and these dont need anything else than an old keyboard and a mouse (of course you can also use 200$ flight controls, driving wheels, VR helmets, 3D glasses, 3D globlets, TRIR, multimonitors, multitouch MFDs, voice commanding, etc), and there is still people that thinks Nintendo is innovative with the controls ...

I want sonic adventure 3.

I have a feeling that this year isn't going to be a very good game year.. I could be too much personal now, but still. I'll see in 6 months.
