Dungeons and Dragons Chronicles of Mystara Wii U came out today on Steam for PC. I was looking forward to this game on Wii U, but can;t find a solid release date.

Anyone have more info on it?

update: I looked some more and it says it was also released on Xbox live today..........come on Nintendo jesus man. This is a next gen console but it loses out to old gen consoles in everything too? http://www.polygon.com/2013/6/18/4442330/dungeons-and-dragons...

All I find is "soon" on the Wii U. I really want this on Wii U, I am not playing any games on it and been waiting a while to get this on there. Any info is appreciated.

It's on XBLA and PSN right now. Weird...Maybe tomorrow?

That'd be great, I'd get this game and Luigi DLC both in same day then.

Tuesday is the traditional release day for games in the US, both retail and download. PSN updates on Tuesdays, Steam updates daily, I have no idea about Xbox, and then Wii U updates on Thursdays. They might want to think about upping to Tuesday as well to avoid 2-day delays like this.

Its still not out today, Thursday.

All I see is the "coming soon" ad for it on the Wii U eshop.

Annoying Wii U is last to get it.

It would be overshadowed by the only worthwhile retail Wii U title for the next month or so. Wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed for that reason. Otherwise I assume there would not be a non-VC game next week.

Overshadowed?
There' like one, maybe two notable games coming to the Wii U this month.

Four more months until Bayonetta 2.

Nintendo needs to get it together when it comes to multiplatform releases.

This.
I really want to buy this on Wii U instead of Steam but these delays are frustrating.

Four more months until Bayonetta 2.

So Nintendo failing again..... It says they want to release the game but Nintendo has not done their part to get it done, man I'm sick of this already, they can't figure out how to get anything done for 3rd parties without trouble, no wonder everyone is dropping development for the console.

How did the game get on Steam, PS3 and Xbox 360, but Wii U can't figure it out........

^How do you know that it wasn't submitted to Nintendo for the code-approval process too late to hit the same release date as the other platforms? Automatically assuming that Nintendo dropped the ball when there's absolutely no information to confirm that doesn't make sense. That may have been what has happened, but none of us can say that for certain.

I would rather a good old D&D RPG over something I can already play on Wii VC (Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Final Fight)

Maybe if you had clicked the link and watched the video or read the text on there you would have seen:

"Capcom says Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, will be coming to Wii U. But, there's been a mix-up on Nintendo's side. Christian Svensson from Capcom Unity say's we are waiting on a code approval from Nintendo. Translation they don't know when it will release."

Capcom is telling us its Nintendo's fault. I believe them since they got the game out all on the same day for every other platform.

You people that defend everything Nintendo does even when its as clear as day make me laugh.

I wasn't "defending" Nintendo at all, I was just pointing out a gap in your logic.

I did indeed read exactly what Svensson said. My point remains valid. This very well may be fault on the part of Nintendo. But "waiting on code approval from Nintendo" does not automatically mean that Nintendo "dropped the ball". As I said, for all we know, Capcom may have submitted the code to Nintendo too late for it to complete the approval process in time for the 6/18 date. For example, Nintendo may have a longer approval process than MS or Sony. If for example MS has a process that takes 2 weeks for approval and Nintendo has a process that takes 1 month, then even if Capcom submitted the code for the game to all platforms at the same time, the release date would not end up the same.

All we know is that Nintendo has not finished the code-approval process. We do not know the "why". I fail to see how pointing that out is in anyway "defending" anyone.

But enjoy your laughter, it's good for the soul.

I guess you can't read too well. Let me point out the part you keep missing:

"Capcom says Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, will be coming to Wii U. But, THERE'S BEEN A MIX-UP ON NINTENDO'S SIDE."

You see the caps? Capcom is saying, Nintendo mixed something up, so they are blaming Nintendo, so us fans should take from that, Nintendo messed up, Capcom did not turn it in late or mess up.

How is it this hard for you to understand?

here's Sven's Post word for word:

I don't think we've received code approval from Nintendo just yet which is why we've been unable to confirm a date. It is definitely still coming so please do bear with us. The game is in submission. Stay tuned.

http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/29...

I've read all the posts Sven has made on the matter that I could find, and nowhere does he say "it was a mix up on Nintendo's part". If you could provide legitimate evidence to the contrary, that'd be great.

Forgive me. How dare I not read something that was never written or said by anyone but you.
Evidently I have a serious problem not understanding something that you fabricated.
A thousand apologies.
