This is a feature that seems to be often overlooked ever since the Wii U was revealed, but I'm really interested in being able to draw with the Wii U GamePad.
Will it be pre-installed software in the Wii U? Or will it be something we have to buy from the eShop. Will it have an online gallery like Colors! 3D? So many questions.
Hopefully Nintendo still stuck with this as a feature since E3 2010 because they haven't spoken of it since.
it's probably overlooked because you can draw on every single touch screen device
Everything is impossible if we think it is. Often all it takes is for one person to strongly believe that something can be achieved and to continue pursuing that goal to the end. - Satoru Iwata

But its not with a stylus. That makes the biggest difference to me. I don't care to draw with my finger on a screen, its lame. Plus, I'm really interested to see what Nintendo does with this.
If you could make a cartoon, that would be cool. Draw frame by frame, or have parts of the frames carried over so you don't have to redraw everything every frame. But as far as drawing a still picture, I dunno. Sounds boring. If I show it to people, they'll be bored. Cartoons aren't boring, though.
If Nintendo were smart, they'd make a Flipnote network and make every Flipnote ever created available on the Wii U and 3DS. Flipnote on the Wii U sounds almost too awesome not to happen: lotta horsepower, high resolution, Nintendo Network, Mii integration. Even kids would enjoy this. Please, make it happen Nintendo, please! D:

Very true. Drawing on the DS/3ds is a lot more professional than on the smartphone. The stylus allows for much more. Nintendo's biggest challenge here is getting that true message through to consumers.
First thing that pops up in my head when you have art and nintendo in the same sentence is flipnote studio, ive drawn on a tablet(sketch book mobile),dsi (flipnote) and the wii art studio thingy and my favorite experience so far is flipnote studio sure hatena DID have issues ( Justin bieber flips, add stars to this, I quit, boss vs gizmo, trolls 6 yr Olds who reported every single flip that had a red pixle that resembles blood) but I loved seeing art come to life. I loved the creative ideas. I would love to see that al happen again on flipnote memo I think (given the right staff and as long as they don't rush it) the flipnote community can get better I hope that on flipnote memo we get more colors and capability between the wii u version (if they do make it available) and the 3ds version i would be happy if that happened oh and nintendo this time don't put a stupid limit? It sucked making a epic flip and having to stop or make a part 2 cause I didn't have enough space to fit in a extra 5 seconds
