Anyway, not much of a chance. Subscription MMOs that don't have the words "Warcraft" or "Fantasy" in the title are generally pretty unsuccessful in the west. Even Elder Scrolls online is going F2P.

When is Elder Scrolls going F2P, I have been waiting for that.
They should just change the name to Dragon Quest: World of Fantasy
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.

No there are actually 3 types of mmos:
f2p = free to play : you can download and play the game without spending money. The game will feature ingame microtransactions to compensate for the lack of income though. (e.g. Tera, Neverwinter, ...)
b2p = buy to play: you buy the game once (like your standard retail game) and get to play to game from there without any additional costs (e.g. Elder Scrolls Online, Guild Wars 2, ...)
p2p = pay to play: you buy the game AND have to pay a monthly subscription fee in order to keep playing the game (e.g. World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 14 ARR, ...)
Dragon Quest X is p2p, and thus I doubt it would do that well in the west, which is a no-go for a mmo, since they depend on a large amount of players to interact and play with.

I'm glad ARR is doing well though, since it's the best Final Fantasy game in nearly a decade. Even if they made an offline version with AI-controlled party members, it would still be the best FF since XII. The setting and lore is great, the story is actually surprisingly good for an MMO, and the combat is incredibly polished. Music and art is fantastic as well.
It's phenomenal what Naoki Yoshida pulled off.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
