I was thinking it looked more like an Xbox 360 controller...
Current Playthroughs: Xenoblade Chronicles, Okami, Red Steel 2, Eternal Sonata, SMW 2: Yoshi's Island, TMNT IV: Turtles in Time, Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy IV, Phantasy Star IV, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and TLoZ: Spirit Tracks.
As does everything else. The OnLive controller looks like a 360 controller and so did the Dreamcast controller. In terms of technical ability pretty much every controller these days is identical so you combine that with making it comfortable for human hands and the inability to redesign human hands and you get more or less the same controller design.
When you try to go outside of that...... you get bananas

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"

I don't know if i'll be getting it at Christmastime, how expensive might the Wii U be again?

Now that you meniton it, I hope that VC games on Wii U can be played on the Tablet only. It should be possible since no other game before Wii U needed a second screen... However (looking at the 3DS VC) maybe they'll put the VC menu on the tablet.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
I'm pretty sure the Pro controller won't be required to play anything. And are you guys sure the z-triggers aren't analogue? I can't see how you can tell looking at an image...

Well from everything I've heard, for the GamePad at least I'm pretty sure the triggers aren't analogue, and it appears that the Pro controller will just be the same as the GamePad but without the screen.
If it had analogue triggers, I think we'd probably know about it - but who knows? James could prove me wrong.

They could have the VC menu and the game on the tablet!
If you tap the tablet, the VC menu appears.
Can anyone tell me what the tablet is going to be for? Is it just for menus? Or does it show exactly what's on the tv most of the time, because that would kind of defeat the purpose of a tv.
Backloggery. Now playing: 3D Dot Game Heroes, Donkey Kong, EarthBound Beginnings, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+.

U can use it for a Semitic gameplay, like have a shriken on the tablet and throw it onto the screen

You can use it for asymmetric gameplay, like having a shuriken on the tablet, and then throw it onto the screen.

Doesn't asymmetric gameplay mean that you can use the pad with different controllers, like wii remotes. So like, four people play with remotes and the fifth with gamepad simultaneously. Basically, all five plays the same game, but the one with the pad has a different role and perspective than the others.
