Topic: Downloading Gamecube Games on Wii U?

Posted: Sat 9th Jun 2012 21:12 BST Since Nintendo has released a handful of GBA games on the 3DS Virtual Console (though only to 3DS Ambassadors), they likely have a similar idea of releasing circa 2002 games on the Wii U too. This is especially likely because of a previous Nintendo Life article from last year that @GamecubeMan32 pointed out below. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2011/07/gamecube_to_see_new_... From what i've heard, however, discs are more complicated to replicate/port compared to cartridges, probably because of storage space. Do you think it really could be possible with the Wii U one day? If I remeber this correctly though this was shoot down later after this. I think they ended up saying they wont do this. Hmmm.... whatever if Nintendo did ofer this I would buy it.

[/div] It's funny that when games like Super Mario 64 came out in 1996, people were likely thinking how that was the most advanced thing they've seen video games do and might have also thought that that type of advancement would never be topped only to be shattered about 8 years later when it was released on a portable system with better graphics, similar to SNES and GBA. Fast forward to 2014, people are screaming for downloadable GameCube games, and Nintendo responds by releasing one or two a year. People say Wii U's VC is a fail.

Look at the Wii's Virtual Console library right now, sure there are some games that have been left out, but there still sure are a lot, maybe some people would rather have some games than no games, unless it depends on what games they are.

PoorVGameNerd	17. Posted: Sun 10th Jun 2012 00:57 BST I'd love to see the entire TimeSplitters trilogy re-released with HD graphics and online play. The GameCube missed out on the first Timesplitters game, and Nintendo was never able to get a decent online service for the console.
