Anonymous source: "Nintendo is dead to EA"
Peter Moore: "Nintendo is a great partner"
Truth: EA is not in business with Nintendo anymore.
...so, which one sounds more trustworthy?
Peter Moore sounds more believable. I don't really see how accusing him of lying is really going to solve anything. They never even said that they "abandoned" Wii U. All they said was that they have nothing planned, or anything to announce, and that was last summer.
Since then, they've gotten their 8th engine running on Wii U, when all the trolls said it was impossible. Their engine wouldn't even be working for Wii U, if they didn't have any intentions of supporting it.

kinda, but wasn't EA that claimed it would support less the WiiU because it isn't popular?

EA released Fifa 2014 on the Wii so they do intend to so some buisness with them but EA being EA shouldn't be taken at face value.
sounds like trolling. even PS2 and Wii got Fifa 2014 and WiiU doesn't. wait can't it be a sign the EA really dropped the WiiU? maybe not Nintendo but the WiiU specifically...

I don't even remember. The positive aspects are besides the negative ones.
Like ya, I get it, EA not giving Wii U games is bad, but saying their partnership is still strong, implies that other things are in the works and Nintendo isn't out of the question.
Maybe EA decided BF4, FIFA, etc. wouldn't be taken all that seriously, if thwy were just the 7th gen versions. Look at CoD Ghosts, for example. People thought it would be the exact same game the Xbox One was getting. It is the same, for the most part, but that extra resolution and detail was missed. They're trying to figure out the architecture for Wii U, w/o it effecting their progress on ×86 games. Once they figure out the hardware, it will be easier to port games from 8th gen consoles.
Wii U is easily compatible with 7th gen games, but getting 8th gen games to work is taking more effort than they're willing to put forward, as of now, so it's missing out on games. The next FIFA 15 will be here, before you know it.

No Battlefield 4 for WiiU
No Dead Space for WiiU
No Mass Effect (1,2,or DLC for 3) for WiiU
No Crisis for WiiU.
Will we see Battlefront 3 on WiiU? Unlikely.
Will we see Dragon Age Inquisition on WiiU? HIGHLY Unlikely.
Mirror's Edge 2? EA might as well be laughing.

@CaviarMeths So true man. So true. If the whole ME Trilogy was on Wii U, I would have bought it with my Zelda bundle back in September. ME is my favorite series and I would have loved to replay it on Wii U since I don't have PS3/360 and my PC isn't good enough.
Peter Moore just doesn't want their true feelings out there because it causes bad press. They'll keep throwing out the good relationship line without any intention of making games. It's just like Nintendo pretending they think a lack of online multiplayer improves their games, when everyone knows the truth is they just can't make it work because they've spent the last 15 years thinking online gaming is a fad and not bothered to learn how it's done.

this is literally lying, of course they know how to make it work. For better or worse, they genuinely believe online would have had distracted from the local multiplayer experience they were going with (that and it would cost more money, conservative Nintendo and all).
@Peach64
So, you don't trust EA, but insist that their games are worthwhile? What kind of twisted reasoning is that? It would be like saying that Wal-mart is garbage, but you can't resist their sales.
I think @kkslider5552000 hit this one, right on the money. They wanted people to play the motion control games as a group, so online wasn't a priority.

@SCAR392 I could not care less if they lie. All that matters to me is how good a game is. If they make a good game, I'll buy it. I don't care who made it, wether it comes in a box, or wether they released it first on another platform. A good game is a good game.

You're assuming he's lying, though. Ok, so you're fine with lying, but you don't even know whether he's lying or not.
So, you're ok with the diamond mining in Africa, or the poor working conditions in China? That's basically what you're telling, right now.
"As long as I get an Xbox One/diamond, I don't care how crappy it is to manufacture/mine one, in China/Africa."
We need to consider others' feelings.
