@MrWalkieTalkie
might want to add:

Mighty Switch Force HD
Abyss
Castle Storm
Zen Pinball 2
Child of Light
Cloudberry Kingdom
How to Survive
Kung Fu Rabbit (I spent so much time in that game lol)

and I bet there are even more

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

I'm currently playing Watch Dogs 2 & Manhunt

In this argument that there's less than 10 games that are good on the eShop, I COMPLETELY DISAGREE! There's a nice selection of games!

1,001 Spikes - Its ok but I have about 10 similar games I think are better
Armillo - Not tried it
BIT. TRIP RUNNER 2 - Its ok (Played it for about 3 hrs).
Cubemen 2 - Not played it
EDGE - Got it on Android and 3DS and don't think it is that good (I like it best with tilt controls just because they work really well)
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - 30fps - I didn't like the PC version until they unlocked 60fps. The freestanding DLC is really good but it is not on Wii U
Guacamelee - Everything I don't like about Metroidvania with none of the parts I do
Ittke Dew - Junk - Not even worth the pitance I paid for it it is awful.
Knytt Underground - Boring
Little Inferno - Nothing wrong with it but it is not my thing
Master Reboot - Junk
Mutant Mudds - Junk (The single Vita review pretty much sums up what I think about it)
Nano Assault Neo - Great
Scram Kitty and His Buddy On Rails - Great
Shovel Knight - Great (I would have bought it on Wii U if it was out in the EU)
Spin the Bottle - No idea
Squids Odyssey - No idea
Steamworld Dig - Great but I already have it on two platforms
Stick It To The Man - Overrated
Swords & Soldiers - Overrated
Toki Tori 2+ - Missing features compared to the Steam one I do have
Trine 2 - 30fps - ok at 60fps
Unepic - Not being updated - It was pretty bad when I first got it but it has been improved massively.
XTYPE PLUS - I have loads of really good shmups like Astabreed or Jamestown

And many more soon to come!

Don't you dare tell me that there's nothing but shovelware on the eShop. While there is a selection of bad games, there's quality in the eShop too and just because it's not "your taste" doesn't make it rubbish.

I don't want to get stuff just because it is on the Wii U I want to get it because it is a really good game.

My tastes are pretty much anything just has to be good.

Wiiware had loads of brilliant stuff (Have a look here just at the 10/10 and 9/10 stuff).

Why no one mentioned Mighty Switch Force HD Edition? Loved that fricken' game. I do hate WayForward for possibly making me have a robot fetish though...T_T LOL.

I already have flappy bird for Petit Computer on my 3DS.

And that's more than enough flappy bird.

The thing is that most, if not all, people on this thread already know this is a blatant rip off and have already decided to buy it or not, depending on how much they like/dislike the source material. So I don't see anyone being "saved" and our vocal minority would not be enough of a wallet vote to change things around.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Sorry about my initial knee jerk reaction when I said I would buy the game. I'm actually not going to buy it (probably like almost everyone on this site). I had the reaction because of a couple of reasons. I don't agree that SPIKEY WALLS is really a problem for the eShop. IF it is a playable game, and plays as advertised, I will not have a problem with it. On the other hand if a game makes out like it is great yet is barely playable or is broken or incomplete, then yeah that is a problem.

SEcondly, I don't think @RCMADIAX is getting a fair shake on NL. This game is not as bad as people are making out to be (it isn't broken, as far as I know, and is being advertised honestly), and frankly I think some are being rude to a person that frequents the website and is part of the community.

Again sorry for my initial reaction.

Making a Flappy Bird Clone that brings nothing new or interesting to the table on Wii U is a waste of dev kit.
I'd gladly take it off your hands if you have no other ideas..

@RCMADIAX This is one of the most logical and down-to-earth posts I've ever seen on this site.

Just kidding Good luck with your projects, RCMADIAX.

Although it wouldn't hurt to try and make the game a little more visually appealing. The "gray bricks" style is not very attractive.

@gage_wolf BLOK DROP U is, in my opinion, an 8/10 game. If you refuse to buy it simply to make a point, you're gonna be missing out.

Crappy games outsell your "good" game, so you decide to make an even crappier game. What an inspiration story. You've really sold me... Instead of simply not buying SPIKEY WALLS, I will not buy any of your current or future games. There are too many other devs out there committed to making good games for the sake of making good games. Cashing in on a crappy game to prove a point about the injustice of other crappy games selling well is just about the lamest reason I've heard to make a game.

^^^This was so well said. Couldn't agree more. I marketed my game to young children ages 8-13. This isn't meant to be an adult game. I can understand why it got low reviews because it wasn't made for audience who reads reviews or are on forums. The younger audience on MiiVerse and the eShop page loves the game, so I couldn't be happier with sales and feedback from fans. In my opinion, creating a lower quality game because you think it will sell better is hugely flawed. If your "good games" aren't selling well, you probably need to rethink game development and try to see how you can improve (not digress) your games.

So we're on the same page for the first half of your comment. Word up.

In defense of my plea to NOT buy Spikey Walls... I see it like this: Why not attempt to persuade people to NOT buy something crappy? Everything else surrounding us is trying to get us to buy, buy, buy all the time. I worked in market research for three years, trust me it's insane the trouble companies go to get us to buy terrible crap. Any time I am in a store I am constantly referring to the internet and checking reviews because we live in a time where companies, big or small, are not to be trusted. They are out to exploit us as consumers. Spikey Walls is the opitomy of what we don't need more of. It's a blatant rip-off of a game that was a rip-off itself, and was meant to satisfy people at the most simplistic level... on a phone. Would you feel great about letting the market decide to turn home consoles into second-hand App store leftovers? I wouldn't. And as far as Nintendo turning down games... After The Letter I'm not even sure Ninty is reviewing these games before they are released.

People are going to do whatever they want... But if this thread pushed one person off the fence and they decide to not buy Spikey Walls, well then I'm happy. I don't think that dude deserves a dollar.

Lol, and did your experience in market research ever ilucidate any evidence that people can be persuaded not to buy something?
I think your worries are largely misplaced. You're suggesting that the natural nintendo market (if such a thing could be said to be natural) would just become overrun by this sort of thing if we let it. I don't buy that for a second. The Wii U isn't a smart phone. It doesn't have the same kind of universal appeal and install base that leads to the most shallow and accessible games being the most popular. Flappy bird is only a good game if you've never played a good game before.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

Yeah, it does look really bland and even if it got good reviews I wouldn't buy it as it's visually a downer. Block Drop U was pretty good.
