1NorfairMon 1st Oct 2012 I love the original Donkey Kong Country games, I love Donkey Kong Country: Returns, the perfect sequel that was made by Retro Studios, the geniuses who also gave us the Metroid: Prime trilogy (another loved favorite of mine, but that is a different story). DKC:R is a really good game because it has amazing gameplay. It brought back the hard fun of old video games, it was very atmospheric, the music and background just blended together with the stages and it had great level design. Now, with the Wii U and Reggie saying that Retro Studios are working on an unannounced major release I think there is a good chance for some more Donkey Kong Country, except that this time in HD, all my hopes and dreams. I would really like them to bring the option to switch between Donkey and Diddy. Instead of just Donkey with Diddy on his back, they should make the two equally playable, but with asymmetric gameplay. If we are still talking about characters, they could bring back Dixie and Kiddy for some 4 people multiplayer (after trying out NSMB.W with friends, I understand why Nintendo wants to put so much multiplayer options, four people with friends is crazy fun). Maybe even make both of them available in single player, like from each barrel you get a random Kong but you can only have one of the bigger ones (Donkey and Kiddy), and one of the smaller ones (Diddy and Dixie). Each character should be little bit unique but still similar enough so that it isn't unfair (to sum it up). About the levels, I will leave it to them except about Kremwood Forest and Mekanos (two worlds from DKC3), those two were my favorite and I really would like to see some similar worlds. What are your ideas? I know I am not the only one who would go bananas (hehe) for a DKC:R sequel! Edited on Mon 1st October, 2012 @ 18:59 by Norfair My body is ready, can you say the same? Is your body ready?
