Has anybody had this problem with wiimotes.
I bought one and as soon as it got to my house it wouldn't turn on. I sold it bought another and it worked in the shop. And turned on down the road but as soon as it is in my house all you get is one flash then it wont turn on again !

Could it possibly be the batteries?

Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)

Did you sync it? Or change batteries

Yep tried unsyncing and syncing again and a variety of batteries. I tried 3 official ones with no joy. I then bought a cheap knock off one off ebay and that turns on and works but you need to point it at a lamp in the corner of the room to make the pointer go to the center of the screen. So I may as well have taped a sensor to the face of a salmon and waved it about for all the good that did

If you have tried so many different wii remotes without success, it sounds more likely to me that it's the sensor bar or how the sensor bar is mounted that's the issue?

I wondered this but its the brand new one that came with the wii u ! And I lookd at it through the camera on my phone and you can see all the sensors are working ! I also wrote to Nintendo firstly explaining my life long love for them and secondly asking advice in this matter ! This was in November and I still haven't received a response.
