I know I do.....I got MK 64 with 250 Club Nintendo coins, Super MK, and Super Mario 64. I plan on buying Mario All Stars, I recently bought Super Smash Brothers Brawl and I plan on buying MK Wii..... How much do others use it though???

I skipped the Wii generation, so my Wii U has been the way that I go back and play games that I initially missed, like Other M and Skyward Sword.

Yeah me too.

I just wish it was a better upscaler! Skyward Sword doesn't look too great on a 1080p TV...

I'm not sure it's the upscaler's fault as much as an HD picture simply makes the game's graphical deficiencies much more noticeable. For example, I thought Other M looked fantastic. However, in Skyward Sword, the depth of field blur is WAY too strong, and it's an effect that would have been far less noticeable on a SDTV.

Not much because I still have my Wii hooked on. I use that also for Gamecube, so... and didn't do the transfer.
Might use it for some of the games that I never played.
Used Wiiware on Wii U for Retro City Rampage at the time.

I haven't used Wii Mode once yet on my Wii U. I don't think I ever will either because all my VC / Wiiware is split across two Wii's one PAL and one USA. 99% of the PAL stuff cannot even be upgraded either if transferred.

I haven't done the transfer yet, so I haven't used the Wii mode.

A part of me didn't have the heart to make my Wii completely useless. Once I transfer everything over I won't need the Wii. I got one of the later models that doesn't play Gamecube games, so I still have the old Gamecube hooked up anyway. I'd be able to free up some shelf space if I did the transfer though.
If I ever do the transfer I'll probably give the Wii to my sister since she wants to watch Netflix in her room. So I guess it won't be completely useless if I do that.

I might not even do the transfer and just start fresh on all of my Wii games (since I've beat all of the ones I own or I just don't care). If my sister wants to borrow a game she'd still have the data on the Wii as well so she won't have to complain about not having her favourite characters in SSBB unlocked.

I did when I did have my Wii U mainly cause I was too lazy to hook up my Wii. Mainly used it for Mario Kart Wii, NBA Jam and GoldenEye with my son.

Ya the wii mode on wii u doesn't look good at all compared to a wii hooked up with component cables I heard it's because the wii mode doesn't do anti aliasing so it just makes the wii mode look fuzzy on big tvs. That's why when my wii died instead of using my wii u I just bought a new wii ( a model 2 wii not the mini since the mini doesn't support component).

Not a whole ton. Most of the Wii games I play have save data on one of my two existing machines.

I use it sometimes, not as often as I thought I would tbh.

Yeah Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros Brawl and Metroid Trilogy all look great in HD, but Skyward Sword really... doesn't. Despite shelling out big bucks for a mint "Limited Edition", i wouldn't mind re-buying an HD remaster ala Wind Waker.

Yes, but mainly for disc games (occasionally I get a jones for Retro City Rampage). I would play a lot more old Wii games if I didn't have to launch a separate menu to do so. Though I know that Wii Mode basically means running your kit as a Wii, given the Wii U is able to trigger this I can't help thinking/hoping some kind of Wii Mode quick start might be possible - at the very least some kind of VM to allow the running of WiiWare would be nice.

All I do is press and hold B when I power on my Wii U it brings you right to Wii mode.

At first, I ignored Wii Mode, since I still had my Wii and I couldn't be bothered with a transfer. But at some point, my Wii just wouldn't read discs anymore, so I had to do it. Since then, I've been using Wii Mode for revisiting my games and hoping the region lock would be ignored if I had japanese save files, but no luck, obviously...

Yes, I've been using it to play my backlogged Wii games! ... and for the rest of my collection, my non-transferred Wii is just inches away.

Basically you're asking if I play wii games on the system?...yes. I recently tried out silent hill shattered memories and was scared s***less on the chase scenes, so I traded the game back in. from what I played it was fun though.

Think about it. When the Thwii comes out,, if you want to play a Wii game, you'd first have to enter the WiiU mode from the new menu, and then the Wii mode from there. Every console just adds to this tunnel, eventually by the year 2120 you'll be like
"Hey want to play that old Wii game, just for kicks?"
"Sure."
"Okay, sit down, we're going on a month long trip down the Backwards Compatibilty channel."
By the 15th day you're like, "You know what, just a couple menus down I own a digital version of the 5D remake. Wanna just play that?"

I've been using it to play my virtual console games. Not all of them can be upgraded so I have to use Wii mode for that. Haven't played a wii a game on it though.

I use Wii mode all the time, but I have a pretty nice collection of Wii games, and I did some trades and swaps with friends and family for a Gamecube, so I no longer have my original Wii. Too many great games on the Wii with high re-playability to just forget about them!
