It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

Waltz, there's an error in what you're saying about "premium" games. There are going to be "premium" games on WiiU's eShop for the same price as those iPad games. So, let's re-do the math
$300 WiiU + 10 Premium eShop games at $10 = $400
Welp, the WiiU is a better value now.
I found your weak point and I nailed it for massive damage.

There we go. Only took 10 posts, but someone came up with a decent counter-argument.
I'm not sure why you think that the very most expensive iPad games will be the same price as the most expensive eShop downloads, though? I was under the impression that Nintendo was planning to release its retail games (premium games - 'premium' means the highest quality ten or so percent of games) on eShop for full RRP?
Do you have a source to say otherwise? If not, I have special ability "dodge"
So, let's put this into perspective and please digest this information:
If Mighty Switch Force HD comes out on WiiU, according to you, it isn't "premium" content. However, if it made it's way to iPad, it would be "premium" content. So, does that mean iPad's version of Shantae is more "premium" than DSiWare's? Or how about Soul Calibur- that's more premium than it is on PSN/XBLA right? Even though it's the same game across the board. I mean, to me, saying that doesn't make any sense. It's an outrageous claim.
Full retail games should not be compared to these small bite sized downloadable games. Why? Majority of these downloadable games are short lived experiences to some degree. I'm not in the mood to go into specifics because I've already went over this before.
Now, if you want to argue games like "Pushmo" or "Zen Pinball 3D" not being premium content, even though the latter is available on iDevices, go right ahead. Pushmo is as comparable to the top iPad game and it's only $7. And it's a game with immense replay value, as you can see there are weekly-bi-weekly contests held right here on Nintendolife in the forums.

Common Sense.
Oh, and I rather take that $10 and invest it in a $60 game that will last me far longer than a short 6 hour campaign. It's a somewhat linear argument since it can go either way.
I have mixed views on how it's going to do overall honestly. I feel like everyone might just do an exact repeat of the wii just in this case it's the WiiU coming out first instead of the 360. I have a hunch everyone is going to buy it then when the announce the new graphic power and blah blah blah of the new Sony and Microsoft machines everyone is just going to switch over. But obviously us nintendo fans will sick to our WiiU and 3Ds'es till their deaths....or ours.

Oh, I've got plenty of parrying to go here.
Premium is a pricing construct, not a quality one. Premium pricing means that the game is priced at the upper end of the overall scale. For iOS, that currently means around $10. You'll see the occasional game released for a price like $12, and once I saw one at $20, but $10 is the upper limit in 99% of cases.
The upper limit of Wii U eShop games will be $60 - that is the premium price point.
Quality is a different matter entirely, and I'm not arguing that because both devices will provide perfectly fine gaming quality for years into the future.
I don't understand why you would use $60 vs $10 games.
Least the WiiU will have the best of both worlds.

There's signs that some of the iOS publishers (2K, Square Enix) are keen to start pushing up the price of iOS games too. I think over the next 12-24 months there will be a few games selling well at $30 or even $40.
In the meantime, there are plenty of full retail games that are being released on iOS at that $10 price point. Civilization, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy Tactics, The Bard's Tale, Soul Calibur - these are (or were) all retail games.

And there are retail games on the Wii and Wii U that cost less than $10. They're called Virtual Console games
