I was thinking about all the hub hub on the new next gen consoles and something dawned on me. I'll be buying either a Xbox One/Wii U or a PS4/Wii U. In both cases I'll still be getting a Wii U. I wonder if that will boost sales iver the oncoming year with gamers picking up the Wii U as their Nintendo console.

I certainly will be. I don't want to miss out on the next Zelda or Super Smash Bros game, but at the same time, I also don't want to miss the next Fallout, Elder Scrolls, or Kingdom Hearts so I'll definitely be purchasing both a Wii U and either the Xbox One or PS4.
Maybe, maybe not. I'm not going anywhere near the One, but I might get a PS4. Nintendo just seems so stubborn with some of their crappier policies these days, to the point where I don't think I can go Nintendo only anymore. But that won't be until I get the money, $400 is quite the investment.
I have both handhelds and a Wii U right now, I'll probably get a PS4 early next year when Second Son comes out and the "Console launch beta testing" is over. One system definitely won't be enough for a good amount of games, it never has been really.
I'll likely purchase an Xbox One at some point. Already purchased my PS4.
No interest in a Wii U unless developers actually take an interest in the system and make games with a better experience than on the PS4 and X1. So there's a very good chance I'll be skipping that one.. lol.
I'm back to wanting an Xbox One over the PS4. Although I think I'll look at the future games list once more ... I'll likely change my mind a dozen more times over the next couple months before making a purchase.
There is a certain assertive quality about rendering a question as a statement. Still, punctuation needed!
On-topic: the past generation saw me diversify and purchase a second console. I wish the PS4 all the best, however, I will be sticking with my Wii U for the near future.
If you mean I plan on getting a Ps3 (maybe a Vita tv?) at some point and waiting years and years later to get PS4 when it will be half price and I can get every other game I care about for 20 bucks and PSN starts going all steam sale on everything while I laugh at all the games you spent 60 dollars on that were almost anything not called Smash Bros or X? You bet!
Too much money. I can barely afford all the Wii U and 3DS games.
I know what you mean. That was one of the reasons I was planning on skipping the PS4, but FFXV has forced my hand. I'll get the PS4 around the time that comes out. Already have a Wii U, and if I can afford it, I want a decent PC before the one I have finally kicks the bucket...
I won't get an Xbone, since literally the only interesting game for it right now is coming to the 360 and PC as well.

Lol you win the thread.
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

I'll probably go Dreamcast/PS2/GameCube/Wii/DS this generation, with the occasional Wii U or 3DS game that I know I'll enjoy. I won't be playing many games this generation (not as much time or money to commit to games), and, honestly, retro gaming seems more appealing with the direction gaming as a whole is taking.

Depends.. I only went with one console last gen and that was 360. I never bought a Wii or a PS3, but I did borrow them here and there to play Zelda and SMGalaxy. This gen though, I have already bought the Wii U. It depends on what exclusive games look appealing on the PS4/Xbone, that will determine which or if I'll buy one at all. As of right now, neither have anything looking really promising.. maybe Xbone because of Deep Down.
