Topic: Do Wii Games Work with Nyko Pro Commander Controller?

I plan on getting some Wii games for my Wii U. Does the Nyko Pro Commander controller work for them? Or do you have to play with the wii remotes and the wii classic and wii classic pro controllers only?
The only downside to the Nyko Pro controller is the that the dpad is not good. You have to push down hard on it, so I have heard. FOr games like Nintendo Land, where you are forced to use the dpad to move on alot of mini games this will suck.

This seems to be the downside to all 3rd party controllers. Their dpads are always subpar and not responsive.

The Nyko pro commander only works as a pro controller, not as a classic controller, so it will not work with any games in Wii mode. You cannot play Nintendo Land with it, as that game doesn't support Pro controllers.
I have the controller and the dpad is actually alright for most games. It is noticeably worse than the gamepad's (though the gamepad's is one of thee best I've ever used so it'd be hard to come close) but most Wii U games don't require much use of the dpad, and even if you do, like your playing mega man or something, you're probably better off just using the gamepad anyway because of button layout.

So, the Offical Nintendo Pro Controller also doesn't work with ANY Wii games on the Wii U?

I think the Wii U Gamepad D-Pad is too big.

Cannot do the normal trick of having your thumb across left and right very easily.

And the diagonals are harder to hit than they should be. (Making it slightly easier for games that don't use them is a bad trade off I think).

The MK2 Saturn is the best type because it is good for everything.
