Topic: Do I still need a Wii mote to access wiiu eShop ?

Unearthed my WiiU from its grave... Waiting on Nintendo to get my NNID on my WiiU cause my old burned in a fire... I'm wondering if ill need a Wii mote to have access for my eShop access like it required years ago.

I prolly should get one cause I remember being able to re download Wii VC games as well and there's some I have on that shop also. Like the Square games and such...

Also, NoA told me they only do 4 NNID transfers in a 2 year window. So this is my last one cause an ex sold my 3DS behind my back once and a WiiU. Ew girls!

For the Wii U eshop itself, different controllers work. I've used the Gamepad, Pro Controller, and a Wii Remote+ to browse around.

For the Wii eshop (and Wii Mode), you're pretty much gonna need a Wii Remote. I'm assuming controllers for the normal Wii will work here as well.

So I had to buy a Wii mote today to access the eShop... It makes you go to the Wii Shop first. The email Nintendo sent earlier even states this... But I went ahead and downloaded the exclusives that never came to WiiU VC like FFVI, Legend of Mana, TBG16 games, etc... But happy I was able to redownload all my VC games for Wii and WiiU.

Yeah she was awful. Selling my stuff while I was at work... She even left and came back one day just to trash my TV. Cops wouldn't do a thing cause she was still on lease and apartments wouldn't do anything because she refused to unsign it. Owell lessoned learned. Lol.

Gonna play some Bayonetta2Pack and StarFox Zero and SM3DW tonight.

@Samus7Killer I don't see why you needed the Wii Remote to access the Wii U eShop. The Wii U eShop can be navigated with the GamePad or even a Pro Controller.

Unless you mean the Wii Shopping Channel within Wii Mode on a Wii U. In that case, yes, you'd need a Wii Remote. In fact, you need a Wii Remote to do anything in Wii Mode, the Shopping Channel included.

It wouldn't even let me access the EShop once I linked the NNID... WiiU gave me message that I had to visit the Wii shop first. Even in the email from NoA states this.... Maybe because I have buncha games on Wii Shop and it has to "synch"
