Fixing the boss battles will probably do more than anything to get people to buy this version. Seriously, those boss battles were dreadful. They might as well have been IWBTG with all the trial and error I did.
Honestly, this game, as described by Eidos Montreal and StraightRight, IS the port I was expecting. THIS is what we should expect as Wii U gamers from developers to do when porting their multiplatforms to the Wii U.
Now here is hoping that at least the critical success of Need For Speed and Deus Ex Wii U can inspire the likes of Ubisoft to port those Assassin's Creed IV and Watch_Dogs respectfully, else we will have all the right in the world to bash on their potentially lazy behavior.
@kkslider5552000 What I meant was for them to make some quality ports just like the way this Deus Ex is ported to the Wii U. In this sense, now we don't have any reason whatsoever to accept a crappy port on the Wii U as normal because it is clear that developers can do MUCH better.
Well aware of who Crytek is but a game being published by EA not being on a Nintendo console is no shocker to me. Dont worry pretty sure the usual cash grabs Madden,Fifa,NBA never mind will make it though
When I interviewed a guy from Crytek, the lack of interest in making games for the Wii U game from them, not EA. It's just not commercially-justifiable for a big company to make a big game for a tiny install base. Even the cost of porting a game like Crysis 3 is substantial.
Now I'm starting to think you just make everything up.
Ni No Kuni: Where is the 360 version? Same for Atelier Ayesha
The Xbox 360 is a failure in Japan. These games were made for a Japanese audience. It would have been a waste to port to the Xbox 360
Dead Space 3 is hardly a miss when the other games including the Wii version are better imo
Kens Rage is a craptastic game. Ports like that WiiU does not need
Neither these are facts.
WiiU owners have missed out on some games but lets not make it worst than what it is. Is no different than saying PS/360 owners will be missing out on Lego City,Monster Hunter,Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade 2 etc.
In terms of quantity Nintendo-exclusive gamers are missing out on much, much more. But yes Sony and Microsoft-exclusive gamers are also going to miss out on some great stuff. That's why they threw a tantrum over Bayonetta 2.
Here is a new petition to get Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengence on the Wii U!!!

So the redesigned boss battles are coming to PC too, right?
Right?
I have no idea. It probably can, but then that would be putting some extra work into a game that probably has already made its share of profit in the PC gamer department.
The original Deus Ex was easily one of the best games ever IMHO. The 2nd one just got crapped on cause it had to be console friendly. The 3rd one though I also enjoyed on PC. I beat the 3rd one, but for the life of me can't remember any boss battles, so I don't know how much merit them fixing that will have to me. Perhaps if I still had a gaming pc I could play it again to see, but oh well. Either way, I will definitely be getting this day 1. Glad to see a port for the Wii U done right.
I've never played a Deus Ex game but always wanted to play the first one because it sounded cool how you could play however you wanted, shooting the place up or sneaking past things, etc., so I am interested in this, but I have two questions for those who have played it. 1. Can I just jump into this one and understand everything without having played previous ones? 2. Does it stay true to the "play how you want" nature of the first one, or has it kind of shifted to more action/FPS fare like some other franchises have tended to do after a couple of releases? Thanks for any answers.

It's a prequel to the original so you can jump right in without feeling lost.
You can also play the 100% steathily and never kill a single guard/soldier or do the complete opposite and murder everybody.
There's usually 3 paths through a level too.
The only exception is the boss fights, although they've been tweaked for the director's cut.
I havent played this game yet, even though i had the chanse to. It looked good, but not enough. The way it now uses the wii U controller and is improved in general, makes me curious.

Just got an email update this morning from Amazon regarding a firm release date for Deus-Ex. My pre-order will be arriving May 9th. I'm in the U.S. so not sure about the European release date yet but it looks like their original May 7th date was pretty close. I have a feeling it will change to the 7th since the same thing happened to my pre-order for Lego Batman 2, meaning I received an update email a few days later saying the order was changed to Prime shipping which put Lego Batman on the 21st instead of their original date of the 23rd of May.
Is there any word of when the game will hit shelves? Wikipedia says the 7th, the above says the 9th. Both has passed (the 9th is still on but in terms of the Deus Ex release at least..) I just pre-ordered it and the date said only TBC.
