People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Well aware of who Crytek is but a game being published by EA not being on a Nintendo console is no shocker to me. Dont worry pretty sure the usual cash grabs Madden,Fifa,NBA never mind will make it though

When I interviewed a guy from Crytek, the lack of interest in making games for the Wii U game from them, not EA. It's just not commercially-justifiable for a big company to make a big game for a tiny install base. Even the cost of porting a game like Crysis 3 is substantial.

Ni No Kuni: Where is the 360 version? Same for Atelier Ayesha

The Xbox 360 is a failure in Japan. These games were made for a Japanese audience. It would have been a waste to port to the Xbox 360

Dead Space 3 is hardly a miss when the other games including the Wii version are better imo
Kens Rage is a craptastic game. Ports like that WiiU does not need

Neither these are facts.

WiiU owners have missed out on some games but lets not make it worst than what it is. Is no different than saying PS/360 owners will be missing out on Lego City,Monster Hunter,Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade 2 etc.

In terms of quantity Nintendo-exclusive gamers are missing out on much, much more. But yes Sony and Microsoft-exclusive gamers are also going to miss out on some great stuff. That's why they threw a tantrum over Bayonetta 2.

“We did have Crysis running on the Wii U,” Crytek’s outspoken CEO Cevat Yerli told Venture Beat, “We were very close to launching it. But there was a lack of business support between Nintendo and EA on that. Since we as a company couldn’t launch on the Wii U ourselves—we don’t have a publishing license—Crysis 3 on Wii U had to die.”

another thread gone wrong. Dues Ex will be welcomed regardless.

Sorry, did I read somewhere around here that Tomb Raider is GOTY material? Hope this year won't be so crappy tbh.

Tomb Raider, the heavily scripted, full of quick time events game, GOTY? No way. It's a bit fun when those things don't get in the way (and I'm enjoying it on PC), but definitely nowhere near that good.

No, Tomb Raider, the game with the incredible characterization and plot, stunning setting and interesting level design is GOTY material. If you're playi g that game and fixating on the QTE, then you're playing it wrong.

Fixating on the QTE? It's thrown at my face, how can I not fixate? The characterization of Lara is great (anyone else... nope), but that doesn't make a game. Level design is linear sometimes with a branching path that leads nowhere (hidden tombs sometimes that are not that hidden). This is what's wrong with gaming but you folks love it, what can I say? Heavy Rain is a great "game" for some... lol.

I'm honestly glad that you don't speak for the games industry.

Yup you read that hear. Best game release since Farcry 3 imo

The first hour is QTE heavy after that not so much. The game is amazing.

I kind of wish he did. QTEs are never a good thing and yet we've seen more of them spring up over the years. It would be nice if more of the games industry would actually listen to gamers.

...in my pants.

Tomb Raider won't take GOTY but it certainly will deserve be in the discussion.

Who did you interview? Where can I read that interview? How does your statement coexist with the Joystiq article published on March 3rd wherein Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli was quoted as saying, "We did have Crysis 3 running on the Wii U," and "We were very close to launching it. But there was a lack of business support between Nintendo and EA on that."

I just find a large amount of clashing notions between the CEO's quote and your personal takeaway from an interview that I would, in all honesty, love to read. I take a great amount of interest in this because I have played the entire Crysis series on the PC and was really hoping to see something on the Wii U. My rig is actually more than capable of running this beast, but as I've always stated, the gamepad integration could give it that little something that my PC wouldn't have,

It's funny that you expected something pretty big to be announced at Pax.

Agree to disagree. The hype train for Nintendo Directs is off the rails whereas I don't sense much with Pax.
