So bottom line is Fat man Sterling loved it. He gave it an awesome 9.5! I am surprised how light he said the controller was, he said its the same weight as an Xbox 360 controller. Very cool.
The only niggle he had was the poor battery life of the tablet controller. It only lasts around 3-4hrs on a full charge but he said the solution is just to leave the controller plugged into the mains. Good thing I got some spare plug sockets.
That was a pretty good review. It sounds like he was genuinely pleased with it while still pointing out a few of its flaws. Thanks for finding this, @xBASSxMONSTAx.
I foresee what you'll do there.

Wait, where are you seeing this review score? Last I checked, Destructoid never gives solid review scores for hardware reviews...
Anyways; I'm surprised with Jim Sterling's opinion, as he is not one to let slight failures slide from his view. Also, while this is slightly off-topic, Jim Sterling gets too bad of a rep. While he is offensive and extremely ready to criticize, he is offensive and critical of pretty much everything, so it's not like he has some prejudice and most of Sterling's writing is polished to the point of showing real quality.

Yeah, if he would have given it a 7/10 he'd be a little close minded.
Seems legitimate.
A lot of Sterling's comments in the actual review reflected optimism on the Wii U's future. I doubt the actual score has any influence on that perception. If I could even find a score.

Seriously, where did you find that 9.5?
My body is ready, can you say the same? Is your body ready?
