Topic: Wii U = U Snooze and U Lose!!!

I went to GameStop on announcement day, and moved all of my store credit over to a Wii U Deluxe console. Today I find out they are not taking any preorders for basic or deluxe Wii U any more. I am so happy I have money down on a deluxe already, because no one else is guaranteed a console on release day. If U snooze U lose simply put.

No I didnt create a topic to brag. I am just amazed at how all preordering has ceased after a few days. They don't stop taking preorders, unless someone has an idea of the initial supply . That is garbage about Nintendo producing 10 million Wii U's already! If that was the case, stores wouldn't be denying preorders. There will be an initial supply of Wii U's just like there were Wii's. Then a dry spell while everyone who didn't get in a preorder waits for Nintendo to make more consoles... sometime AFTER the holiday. As for bugged Wii U Consoles at launch, LOL I'll take my chances

If you snooze for a couple years, you get a possible console redesign and definitely a price drop. Also games.
I hear those are kinda important.

NSMB U and nintendoland don't really strike me as huge losses personally, so I'll leave wii u on snooze a while longer.

I want a WiiU but I prefer handhelds now a days, I still want to get a WiiU to play NSMBU, Bayonetta 2, wonderful 101, Pikmin 3 and maybe Tekken and ninja Gaiden 3, but I really wish I could play these games on the go via my 3DS... Maybe next gen but on my 4DS rather 3DS

ill get it 2 months after launch when i get 18 i get study funds.... YES im too lazy to do work and school together.... but will search work for every saturday+vacations to earn atleast some money^^

Launch day Wii owner here.
I have never had to send it in. The only problem I have is a broken Wifi antenna.

I don't see a problem with leaving a console on snooze when they are not even that many must own games for it yet. There's nothing special about the Wii U, and the only thing that matters in the end are exclusive blockbuster games for it...which is what it's severely lacking right now.

The only two games I see that remotely make me even interested in the console are Rayman Legends and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. But even then, that's not enough to convince me to pre-order a Wii U. I pre-ordered the 3DS, and it turned out to be a mistake. So I'm through with this pre-order cr*p.

I didn't buy a Wii until late 2007, and I can wait just as long or much longer to buy a Wii U depending on what gets announced for it down the road. There's the possibility of getting it during Christmas or my birthday, but I'm not going to wail if I don't get it.

I've bought a lot of consoles at launch, and I've only encountered trouble with the PlayStation brand. I wouldn't worry too much.

We're not dealing with Sony here, you won't have to wait three years for Nintendo to price match the Xbox--they've already done so at launch.

I've had my Wii since day one. Never a problem either. Even plays Smash Bros (why do I have to type that Nintendo?)

Over here in ole blighty there appears to be plenty of Pre-order opps. Just placed mine with Amazon
