This game should definitely come on Wii U,the gameplay is similar to Devil May Cray and there's tons of hilarious dialogue and fourth wall breaking.
SPOILERS
If that wasn't enough there's even a Zelda-like part with top down view,8-bit music and stalfos-like skeletons.

I seem to recall that shortly after the game was announced someone from High Moon said something to the effect that they didn't have the time and resources to to squeeze in a Wii U version.

If enough Wii U owners cared Activision would make it happen, problem is that not enough of us do care.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Considering Wii U has gotten literally none of the critically beloved games this year (barring maybe Runner 2 and even then, eh), I don't think the apparently "pretty good I guess" Deadpool that will do moderately well is high in terms of priorities to get on Wii U.
Also, I'm starting to think the lack of 3rd party multi-platform games on Wii U right now might be a good thing in some way. Selling 100,000 is apparently good by current Wii U standards but I can't see major companies like Activision seeing that way and instead they would likely be annoyed by the huge gap in terms of sales between this and other versions and support Nintendo less because of it. Just a thought I've had recently, not sure if that's completely true but...
I do like High Moon's work with the Transformers series and would welcome any of their games to the Wii U.
I may not be getting Deadpool because it is not on Wii U and I do not want to buy anymore games for my 360
I'm in the same boat on this. I'm not buying this game for my 360 or PS3, mostly because I know it could have been brought to the Wii U. Strange how all the publishers and devs are acting like a low initial install base is something that has just come about by the Wii U. How quickly they forget the low install base of the 360 for it's first 2 years, and I don't think that I even need to reference the PS3's horrendous install base in it's infancy. I would have bought this game day one on the Wii U, but since they aren't supporting my console of choice, I'm not supporting their game. Simple really.
I remember somewhere that High Moon had to make a fair amount of redundancies a while back so not having enough resources could be a viable truth. I'm in the same boat as a few here, not buying anymore games for the 360, having more fun with MPT then any game I ever had on that and i'm still finishing off SMG2 :
