I have a release date wii u deluxe edition, has done great all these years. Here in the last year or so it would freeze up and I could power it off and turn it back on, it do it very often once a month or so, and we used it constantly. So the other day I used it to stream hulu and we plays game etc. perfectly fine, turn it off to go to bed and something happened over that night, the next day it was completely dead, no lights what so ever. So I tested the power brick with a voltmeter 15V as it should be, tried a different outlet no change. So just in case there was maybe an amperage problem I bought another power brick and tried it and nothing no lights or anything and checked its voltage it was putting out 15v.

So I do believe I have a short on the motherboard somewhere, because I have 15V on the power bricks but as soon as I hook up the power cord to the Wii U the voltage dies I suppose it trips the breaker in the power brick. I have the Wii U apart and checking for voltage on the board on the power plug area and the fuse area I get nothing. I checked for continuity on the power port solder joints(resoldered for good measure) tested the fuse for continuity and also on a couple of nearby components(without a schematic its going to be tough) all tested fine for continuity. I went ahead and tried baking the board in the oven 385f for 10min with caps and plastic pieces covered, no change.

I really hate to throw this out, I still have my release date Wii and it still works fine, this is frustrating. Is there anymore things to try.
