@ogo79: Gotta love that new boex/game case smell!

It looks like Amazon will be getting more stock soon, so maybe I'm not out of luck yet.

I weirdly enjoy the stories in these games even though they're ridiculous and simplistic fantasy nonsense.
Reminds me of Bayonetta a bit.
Feels a bit tongue-in-cheek in its cheesiness.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

I haven't had any crashes yet after 2 hours (Darksiders 2 crashed 20-30 times through to completing the game), and I'm enjoying the story and gameplay. The only issue I have is a mild queasiness which I think is due to the low frame rate. But it's not that bad.

Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?

Henmii

Still waiting for my copy. The crashing sounds awful, but not everyone does seem to have those problems. My Wii u is prone to crashing, but so far Darksiders 2 only crashed 1 or 2 times (and I am pretty far in).

Just got to the Tiamat fight. Every time I'm hit I glitch 2 feet off the floor, and can't pick up the bombs. Don't think I can continue on any further.

Oh well, I've had my fifteen quids worth of fun.

Just to add my tuppence-worth: I've got the disc version and have only had 1 freeze in about 4 hours of gameplay. For the most part, it runs perfectly fine. I remember Darksiders II only crashed on me twice in my 40-ish hour playthrough.

@MrGawain I also had that glitch during the Tiamat fight but was still able to defeat her; you can get back to the floor by letting Tiamat hit you again (might take a few hits). I've just tested it using an old save and managed to defeat her several times in a row (each time being glitched). It's a bit frustrating but you only need to hit her with two bombs then the fight changes and the glitch doesn't happen after that. The game gets a lot better beyond that point and that's the only major glitch I've experienced so far (11 hours in), so don't be put off.

Crashes, glitches, dodgy framerate and screen tearing.I couldn't motivate myself to play this even if I got it in a Humble Bundle.I got the sequel in a Humble Bundle and those same issues meant I gave up on it before the game even really got going.I was disappointed as I knew it would be a game I'd enjoy without those issues.

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

Im truly glad that this game eventually made it to the wiiu. Sorry to hear those that have experienced issues, ive been playing for three hours so far and have experienced none at all. I have experienced a lot of fun though, really cool game.

My copy from Gamestop arrived in the mail today. Unfortunately I've been too busy this evening to fire it up. The rest of my week isn't looking much better.

I did send my online-shop a email, and now they are saying the release-date is 30 June. Wich is of course nonsense, since some of you guys already are playing the PAL version. Looks like I am screwed. If it won't arrive I may go for the e-shop version. Not a fan of that, but I want to play the game.

I've now encountered a lot of freezes after the Tiamat fight in the search for Ulthane. I had to replay the same arena fight at least 6 times due to the game freezing on me every time. The freeze happened when the loading screen appeared, either because you won the fight or lost it. I was really nervous the last few times so it was a relief when it finally let me load and autosave properly. I honestly thought it was a game breaking bug.

@TromaDogg I'm in the same boat except I have a digital copy. It's quite a shame because I absolutely adore this game. In fact I like it more than the 2nd version. They need to patch it. I am begging @THQNordic to please fix this. I have played all my other downloaded titles, some of them well past the 8 hour mark without a single crash or hiccup. Great game thats needs some fixing @THQNordic.

This all sounds terrible. But then again people had lots of problems with Darksiders 2 Wii u version, while I didn't have much trouble. Only 2 crashes so far in Darksiders 2 (haven't finished it yet), and there where some strange things afoot in the section where you have to climb a tower that's filling with lava (the grapple didn't work initially). Other then that, its fine.

Filth_Element

So would it be fair to say that most of the glitches occur on the digital version?
I'm so close to pulling the trigger on getting both downloaded but can't be arsed dealing with some of the issue expressed here.

Some of Mario Odyssey is seriously giving heart palpitations.... that plumber is trying to kill me!

@Filth_Element I am pleased to report that I started playing again picking up where I left off and there has not been a single crash. It seems to have been patched. I noticed from time to time a quick load screen icon in the left corner. This was not present before. I believe scenes where not loading quick enough at certain times causing the game to crash. I have played up to 4-6 hours on 2 separate occasions and not a single crash. This is a great title to have on the Wii U. Im sure I will go back and revisit Darksiders II once I complete this one. Thank you @THQNordic for what seems to be a corrected problem.

SuperVirtualBoy

@TromaDogg I've been playing the physical disc version and having a similar problem. Sometimes I can go a solid two hours without a crash and other times I can't go more than 10 minutes. I have to completely power down each time. I haven't been able to replicate the issue with any other games, just Darksiders Warmastered physical disc.

@SuperVirtualBoy I actually spoke too soon. 1 hour in today just after 2 successful uninterrupted days I had several crashes in one location requiring a full power down. I went to THQNordics sight and sent a complaint. Anyone experiencing this problem should do the same so they hopefully address this problem.
