Yeah, might do actually.
But quite a few people have asked them about it and they've repeatedly said it's still coming. So I doubt they'll cancel it at this point.
Is this actually a different group than those who did Darksiders 2? If not, you'd think they'd hopefully already know enough about optimising on the Wii U.
They said multiple times the game is coming, so I'm not worried about this.
I'm honestly more concerned about the Axiom Verge Multiverse Edition on WiiU. You know, the nice retail version with the docu et al. I wasn't able to find ANY info about it beside the announcement they made in late February. No Amazon/GameStop listing and no mention on the official website. If AV on WiiU gets cancelled, I'm going to set fire to an orphanage.
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

@Dezzy I just received an email from Amazon UK: apparently the new release date is 23rd May. Their previous release date was 31st December so hopefully this time it's official rather than what seemed to be a guess. I wouldn't bet on it though.
@Tyranexx Oh. Wow... Thanks for pointing that out; can't believe I missed the article. That's great news - I've been looking forward to this game for ages (pre-ordered 5 months ago). Plus, I can finally dust off Darksiders 2...
@Monkey_Balls: No prob. I haven't played either game, but I'm intrigued enough to at least try out this installment. I was starting to believe it had been canned, so that article was a nice surprise. I hope the delay means that it's at least a decent port.
Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
If you have a PS4 there's a Humble Bundle available now that includes this game and the second Darksiders along with a bunch of other THQ games for $15
@Tyranexx Same here: I've never played them, although I've had Darksiders 2 a few months (was waiting to play the original first). Regarding it being a decent port or not... I hope so but unfortunately THQ Nordic's track record with Wii U games isn't that great: Darksiders 2, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 and Legend of Kay Anniversary are all quite buggy. Fingers crossed with this one though. I'm just glad it's finally being released - thought it would never happen.
@Dezzy Well... no shipping notification from Amazon yet (despite the game supposedly being released tomorrow and dispatching today). I'm still not convinced we'll receive the game.
@Dezzy Ha, I don't blame you. I would do the same but only have a Wii U. Is the game any good? Do I want to ask that question? If you say it's great and the Wii U version never arrives I'll be a tad annoyed; if you say it's bad, I've been waiting for nothing (and might be sending it back)... :/
@MarcelRguez According to Amazon UK I'll receive the game 24th-26th May, but it should have dispatched yesterday. No shipping information yet, and no money taken from my account. I won't be surprised if we receive a "Sorry, we don't know when your item will arrive" email from Amazon.
Quite typically, due to the long wait my payment card details are no longer correct and so I've had to re-submit my order. At least they've got stock though - last time I had this problem the game in question was out-of-stock because there'd had so many pre-orders.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
Placed an order through Target.com. It's supposedly arriving June 3, which is fine. I don't mind waiting - I'm still playing through Breath of the Wild. It does seem like a long time to wait for something that's in stock. I get the feeling this was an extremely limited run of copies produced by Nordic.
I got to give props to the developers and publisher. There's very little logical, monetary reason for them to release this at all. At least for the short term. I doubt this version will make a profit. But, they did it just so both Darksiders games are on the same console (and granted, it does help that Darksiders 2 seemingly did better than most 3rd party Wii U titles). It seems like it was done just for fans, and a relatively small group of them. That's awesome!
I still think this is a long term plan to make Darksiders 3 successful on Switch (which I still think is totally happening). It is borderline the only thing that makes sense for why they are releasing a retail Wii U game in 2017, when almost no one else is.
Anyway, Darksiders is cool and you should play it. Both of them.
