I had a chance to talk with Rasmus Hoejengaard, Crytek's Director of Creative Development, on what we can expect out of Crysis 3...

As for Wii U support, Rasmus told us there's "not a fat chance" of the game appearing on Nintendo's next system.

So Damn the wii u hasn't even been officially shown off and its mot getting third party games due next year.

The wii u is in an old position. It wont be getting a lot of the big third party support due to development times and it most liekly wont get a lot next year when a lot of stuff are launched for the Durango and orbits next year.

I liked Crysis 2 but meh. I have a 360, Wii U has too many ports announced already.

I never played any Crysis game. Did the guy say why there's no chance of it coming to Wii U? I hope there's more reasons beyond the controller.

Eh ps4 I don't know but its a given that the next xbox os hitting next year. Lots of engineers who worked on NRT and a lot of windows OS stuff have been moved to the xbox team. Also Microsoft started development in the middle of last year on at least five new studios all working on next gen games. It was also rumored ghat xryteks 360 exclusive game was moved onto next gen instead. Then someone from crytek tweeted during gecko about being at a durango event whit h is one of the known internal code names for the next xbox. Remedy has alluded to have dev kits when asked about the future of Alan wake. And the biggest clincher was an xbox road map leaked last wear with the new xbox slated for later 2013. An internal Microsoft video also leaked talking about intergation between windows 8/windows phone 8 and xbox.

So yeah I'm just speculating off the various piling evidence.

Its most likely time. That or he misspoke. The game is a year away barring any delays. And crytek has been rumored to be pausing nintendo to beef up specs.

As long as I see crytek develpped nintendo published timesplitters 4 I would be cool.

Hm, I thought Crytek was working on something for WiiU. Oh well, life goes on. Maybe eventually they'll bring something to the console when it takes off. Some people are implying that this means WiiU is underpowered, but that's not what's being said at all. They probably have no time or wouldn't want to take the effort into porting a game to another console especially when the system's success is up in the air.

Yeah, this. I think people also need to understand that, irrespective of power, the Wii U uses a very different architecture. It takes time and investment to take a game that has been built for one PC monitor or TV screen, and optimise it for a console where information needs to be fed out to a tablet controller as well. Some developers are willing to do it. Others have decided that it's not commercially viable. It's not really that big of a deal, since most people who would be interested in Crysis 3 likely have a good PC or one of the existing HD consoles. The potential sales to Wii U are relatively small.

Michael Pachter says the reason it might not be released is the fact that nobody is going to buy it. I would say they are testing the water on PS360 to be safe then port it later. By that time I will have alot of other games to keep me occupied which will fly Crysis 3 under the radar TBH.

I do not see this as a problem. Crytek create boring games. They can save these boring games for the Xbox 360, PS3 and their successors. To be successful the Wii U only needs strong first-party content and that usual Nintendo magic.
