You've got to be kidding (trolling) or you're just blind fanboys. The U is horrible for anything on the net. YouTube doesn't play in the browser. The YouTube app is the worst app ever made and is totally unusable. Testmy.net proves that the U is well below average speed and well below all other devices on the same network with all other factors being the same. The U cannot handle HD video from Amazon, Netflix, Hulu (too slow, constant buffer). Note that the USB-ethernet adapter is even slower than the wifi on the U. This is all provable. I wish it weren't true, but it is.

Zelda is the best game series in history.

Prove it then, particularly the LAN adapter bit. Run proper benchmarks and show how badly it runs. If you can't then I'll show benchmarks proving otherwise because I have and I can.

I don't think the hardware of the computer effects the speed of the internet as long as you're just browsing. I browse just as fast on a 10 year old laptop with XP than on a new computer. What people are referring to is the seamless responsive Wii U browser, which is super comfortable.

To an extent true. Some things though do get a bit rough on lower end hardware if you're using hardware older than around 5 years. If it can playback 1080p videos and load the browser fairly quickly then that's enough. You can do that with very, very entry level hardware these days, that wasn't necessarily the case five years ago.

I suppose there's something wrong with your internet connection, or with your Wii U. I don't exactly love the browser (mainy because it lacks basic stuff like automatic URL completion), but it is AMAZING to watch Youtube. It lets you keep browsing on the same window while the video is playing on your TV, for example. And yes, it loads pretty quickly for me.

I also have no problem watching Netflix in HD, and the U has in fact become my platform of choice to do so.

Well if it was on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the browser built in to a five year old TV with a standard TV remote as the interface and 10 being a reasonably fast PC with good KB and Mouse I'd put it at maybe around an 8. With a 10 for speed and maybe a 7 for interface. From my experience it's faster than the browsers you use on tablets but it's just not quite there for interface because of hardware limitations.

For what it's worth I'd say it's the best browser I have ever used on my TV. Period. So I don't know what people who don't like it are smoking....
