Yeah. I guess that's why I'm not upset. It's my fault, really, for not keeping up with standards.

Same problem here. As far as I know, I contacted Nintendo, there really isn't much of a fix. The new TV option is what I'm going with. Mine is pretty old and whatnot.

Yep, it isn't Nintendos fault. They made a console designed to run on the current standards, which is HD. The necessary evil of technology advancing is that those slow to keep up may once in a while get left behind

Yeah, my screen is slightly cropped off. But the weird thing is, I have an HD TV.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

And I'm betting that, if you have a blu ray player or PS360, you don't suffer the same problem with them, in the same TV. The whole, it's the TVs problem, doesn't cut the mustard with me.

Nintendo need to give this problem some attention. I don't know about anyone else, but it's putting me off from buying games which I can't demo/rent first.

I have a 'old' 32'' max720p insignia lcd. I put a new board in it once to make it work again. tvs aren't supposed to be trash.

Neither are gaming systems a generation or two old, but technology progresses and upgrades need to happen not something I like either.

I tried googling about your TV... couldn't really find any solution. So the annoying stupid questions return. Have you tried going between 16:9 and 4:3? Does your TV have a ZOOM view option? Or JUST? It may be buried in the setup or settings menu.

Yep. My PS3 doesn't seem to have this problem. Kind of unfortunate.

this is the weirdest thing about my issue with this. the set does have a normal view option seems to be more like 4:3 as everything is always surrounded by a black box when selected. with the wiiu it doesn't change at all from when you are on widescreen zoom setting. I've tried this with wiiu set to four by three and sixteen by nine. This is kind of what makes me say its wiius fault even more than them 'admitting' it by adding the screen size options for miiverse and eshop.
