I downloaded zombiU overnight and since I saw someone complain about the brightness level on miiverse(too dim they said). I decided to see if it was adjustable before starting. It is and thats great but instead of saying When my screen only shows en. I had the same issue with miiverse then heard about the screen size adjustment in the settings for it and the eshop. I adjusted those and its great. The overall settings don't have this option though and so I checked for an update I'm up to date....What am I supposed to do just ignore the fact that I'll be handicapped in the game and still try to enjoy it?

If you've set the resolution on the WiiU, try changing the settings on the actual TV.

No. I would not have mentioned finding the settings for the miiverse and eshop to be able to fix if I could have fixed with more accessible settings.

edit:well I tried and even after setting to 480 and 4:3 and changing the tv to have black surrounding where the displayed part is the same Wh didn't show.

ugh, bump.

its not major but nobody else has this issue?

the fact there are fixes for miiverse and eshop makes me think otherwise.

I believe there's a setting in your user account in Miiverse.

I had to manually fix my TV screen. It needed some mode running on it. Everything is good on my end.

yeah I can't fix it using my tvs settings or by adjusting wiiu resolution.really just wondering why there are options to fix a known problem for miiverse and eshop but not for how the 'home' page or games display?Pretty sure I had some weird cropping issue with my wii that eventually got a patch or something?

I'm having the same problem and as far as i know there is no solution. My tv doesn't have a "Native Mode" either. I guess we just have to upgrade our tv's, as lame as that is.

I had the same problem but luckily for me my TV did have a setting that fixes it. Unfortunately it looks like there's no solution for you without an update to fix it.

Try unscaled on your TV settings. The 3 TVs I've hooked my Wii U up to, all needed the unscaled setting. It will be in the same TV settings as wide, full, auto, etc. options like that.

It's overscan and is affecting a lot of people, apparently. SD TVs and some 720p HD TVs are prone to the issue.

If you can't fix the problem through the settings on your TV set, there are no other console settings that corrects overscan, outside of the apps you mention.

Nintendo need to fix this because it's a real pain in the butt

seriously??! just have a look at your avatar. you have got to be kidding me.

Nope they just need to add an option in the system setting for games and the welcome screen exactly like they have for miiverse and eshop. its a joke for people to suggest otherwise. during my setup I called customer service for help and mentioned it and they said 'its your tvs fault'=nope.

nothing at all. 'dude what' is what I thought about your plan to buy a new tv. your overscan must be cutting off alot more than mine? its funny that when you put a screen grab on miiverse you get to see the cropped part because it gets framed up in the middle.

Well, when you're playing a first person shooter and killing zombies, it really helps to be able to see as much as you can. With Nintendo Land it's not a problem.

YES!

but they fix what you already paid for! is not your tvs fault a home console doesn't work on it. should be compatible with any tv using its settings not even doing anything to your set.

Home Console.

its not some arcade board you are trying to run or something.

It would be nice, but I can't expect everything to be catered to me.

nope! is home console should have been made to work. you should change your excuse making for them to they could/might patch it. like those that say its okay for it to hard freeze alot (I've just had three_if I had/have more = %$#@)

was probably rushed to cash in on xmas uknow? games that were announced as launch were pushed back Why because they didn't want to take a crap on people with rushed junk

It would be great if it were fixed in an update. I would love that. But I should just get a new tv anyway. SD is simply outdated.

They just expect people to have HDTVs now adays. When Xbox 360/PS3 came out years ago, I saw very few being played on HDTVs. HDTVs are pretty affordable now, considering SD TVs costed pretty much exactly the same amount when those were still new, but you're getting a way better TV(obviously).
