I'm not even interested in it right now. Why should I be excited about such a lame console?

There isn't much hype. I know I'll be getting one though.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Until you catch them all...?

Still waiting on the online details, and not sure if I want it "live" or via a Nintendo Direct. I would prefer "live" so we can see how easy the video chat stuff will work (or not easy). There is way too much editing that happens with things that aren't live, to really know what to expect.

Just Pre-Ordered mine 10 minutes ago. :p The Basic(Only because it's White) model with NSMB.U and NIntendoLand.
My excitement level just jumped up a trinket or two, but my real problem as of now is finding a particular 2011 50"(S30 to be exact, which has the lowest input lag of any 1080p panny plasma) panasonic plasma before it arrives. The seller i planned on getting it from online made a mistake and doesn't ship International, so i'm basically screwed if none of my local BestBuy, FutureShop or Visions carry it, that's even if they have last years stock left.

At the moment I'm more excited to Retro game it up with Castlevania Bloodlines, Castle of Illusion, Contra Hardcorps, Strider, plus SM3D Land for the 3DS, Kid Icarus, NSMB. 2, Mario Kart 7 and several Wii games i need to catch up with that are still unplayed in my collection. B-)

@SteveW
I think you and i are on the same page. I'm not exactly sold on the GamePad.....And I'm not jumping up and down over it like i was over the Wii remote/Nunchuck. But at the same time you could think of the Wii U as a super Wii considering many titles will support the wii remote plus/nunchuck. Pikmin 3 being a good example. A new Pikmin with NextGen Nintendo graphics, real Widescreen, 720HD and HDMI will make it feel like a modern NES - SNES-like transition.

Playing video games'll help me through. It's what I did with the 3DS(although I'm not preordering the Wii U) Playing one at Best Buy on Wednesday should also help... or not.

I'm not buying one until a year or two into the console's lifespan so I have no problem with waiting. My PS3 and 3DS have been keeping me entertained plenty and will still do so over the next two years or so, especially with more great looking 3DS coming in the next few months.

^^ Yup. Same here. Not getting one till around tax time here in the states or maybe even later. I just want to wait and see the games that are coming for it, how largely adopted the console becomes, and how well it does commercially before I commit to it.

I am really excited. I got my deluxe Wii U all paid off and getting it day 1. I got really bored with the PS3 and 360 so I'm going back to Nintendo. I already picked up Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Skyward Sword.

I was incredibly bored and miserable with the XBOX360, sold that after 2 years of owning it. Least favorite console I've ever owned. At that point i was tired of using traditional controls for most 3D gaming experiences after what i experienced on the Wii, and i couldn't stand the 360 controller either(A Broken D-Pad is crippling for the retro gamer in mind.lol) OR the exclusives. And this is coming from someone who got a Saturn on Launch day. :p As for the PS3, i have it as decoration in my HDTV stand. lol I haven't touched it since Resident Evil 5 and SSFII HD Remix. I've got no interest(Aside from RE6)...Hell, It's not even hooked up, and it's the original 'pretty' glossy Grey & Silver model, unlike those 2 nastly uninspired newer designs, otherwise I'd toss it. Anyways, I'm sticking with Nintendo and that's that....

The only way i'd dip into another console, is if Sega magically appeared back in the console Wars. :p

I've been playing Pikmin 2 over and over again, with SSBB (I play as Olimar, go figure) in-between sessions of said game. Pikmin 3 is all that is on my mind when it comes to waiting, which is why I've been playing 2 so much.

I am considering buying Kirby's Return to Dreamland if I can find a used copy for a lower price though. Perhaps I'll look on Amazon. But then again I'm saving for Wii U games, such as NSMBU and as already mentioned, Pikmin 3.

Biggest Pikmin fan on NL!
