I believe all developers will be watching the sales of this title! Imo with the current install base it will need to sell about 500k for 3rd parties to even consider bringing their games to the Wii U. The problem is the game will be available on every major format so why choose Nintendo over all the rest unless its your only system?! I really hope the gamepad features are excellent and graphics are better then Ps360 so at least it might win over any current owners of those that own Wii U and one of the others.
Yes i do know there are a few other 3rd party games coming to the Wii U of interest like i really want Project Cars but that's so nitch that i don't consider it a prominent 3rd party game.
I think there might be couple of them scattered around here and there after Watch Dogs but not many(probably no more than one or two)

I can't see that many after Watch Dogs, even if it is a success. Nintendo need to ramp up their 1st Party titles and deliver more games, Star Fox and Metroid Games for instance. I really hope 2014 is a success for the Wii U. I'll give Nintendo 12 months to impress its current Wii U Fanbase and Lure more Wii owners to the console. after 12 months , PS4 & Xbox1 will have dropped in price and a lot of Wii u owners could be tempted to jump ship. We have MK8 & SSB to look forward too, we NEED more news on Monolith Soft X and a Zelda U announcement!!
Could very well be one of the last big AAA multiplatform games seeing almost if not all have failed sales wise on Wii U and the fact developers have been abandoning the system left right and center since a couple of months afte its release. We will still probably get the occasional exclusive 3rd party game, shovelware and watered down port of games like COD but I see most games being 1st party which isn't bad at all it would just be nice to not have too own multiple systems too play my favourite 3rd party serieses like FF,KH and Persona.
You'll see the next Call of Duty game. Trayarch likes the Wii U, so they'll develop a version, and Activision will publish it because they might as well.
I don't know what we'll see after that, though.

I know AAA can mean lots of things and these games are generally nicely polished, solid games with decent graphics and large budgets but most of them are effectively reskins and don't deserve their AAA status.
WatchDogs won't be the last but when they stop releasing them on PS360, we may well not see any "AAA" games until Nintendo's next machine.
I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.
At the moment, Beyond Good & Evil 2 is planned for all platforms, but who knows how that will pan out.
I thought i heard that was not happening??
As for the next Call of Dudy we shall see on that one. I've got a feeling it won't happen this go around! Activision will stick to kiddy games only for Wii U! Big budget = little return!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
It's all about the install base and if you think about it you'd have to expect at least 10mill by the time it would matter. The analysts are predicting that XBOne and PS4 combined will be sitting at around 30mill at that stage. If you assume they split in the way they are now that's 12mill XBOne, 18mill PS4. That's about the worst scenario that you'd expect the Wii U to be in by that stage.
So if you're Ubisoft and you're making Assassin's Creed you can probably expect to move maybe around 300k units on the Wii U. About double what they did for AC4 and probably about the same as what they'll be expecting for the XBOne and PS4 versions for that next version once they're out of the launch period. More than they get on the PC version either way.
I think people are being a little bit melodramatic about this....

Well the people should start buying a little more of this games, AC4 is quite a good game, is giving me a lot of hours, a little glitchy but is ok; but less than 100k Wii U users buy it. Developpers won't stay this way.
With Beyond Good & Evil 2, I think Ancel said it would be hard to port the game to the PS3 and the Xbox 360, and that it would be utilizing the most out of the next-gen hardware specs as possible. The problem being, at this stage, when a lot of developers mention “next-gen”, they are talking about the PS4 and Xbox One, and not the Wii U (even if it is in fact part of the 8th gen). I have a hunch it will not be coming to the Wii U.
But any ways, back to topic, it seems like both Ubisoft and Activision are starting to curtail their support of the Wii U. With Ubi, we have Child of Light and Watch Dogs, but they also have quite a few recently announced multi-plat titles that will not be coming to the Wii U. I think COD: Ghosts might be the last in the line for the Wii U, although I suspect Activision will still release Skylanders for the Wii U this year.
To answer the question though, outside of the rare, oddball third-party AAA title (Disney Infinity, next Sonic title etc), and or a Nintendo published third-party AAA title, yes, I think it will be slim pickings.
