Topic: Could Nintendo be releasing Devil's Third under a new publishing label?

Recently it was rumored that Nintendo won't be publishing Devil's Third in America due to quality reasons apparently. Now it's being rumored that Devil's Third will be coming via another publisher. I was thinking, could Nintendo be planning to publish Devil's Third under another label. Obviously Nintendo must be realizing that publishing M-rated games under their regular brand hasn't been working, so they must probably be creating another brand designed to market and publish M-rated games for the 18-49 year old male gamer. Sound plausible?

Nope, NintyUS published this as a mature rated game.

@arronishere: Nintendo has published M rated games before, but nearly all of them sold poorly. It might be best if they market those games under a different label.

Meaning a touchstone situation, which I recall suggesting they do last year before Bayonetta 2 cane out.

The UGXloggery ... really needs an update.

Word is that NoA opted not to publish it because the game is total garbage, not because it's rated M.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Not that this is the case, but do you really think a third party game would be more successful on a Nintendo console?

Are you referring to Nintendo using a publisher pseudonym so that people aren't scared away by the word "Nintendo" on the box?

What would they call it? "BloodCo" "MatureGames" "PleaseBuyThis" "We'reHip" "KiraCo"

Actually KiraCo sounds pretty cool. Although then it'd just be Killer Company, which probably isn't very good from a PR standpoint.

I'm rambling. Just depends on the game and the audience, no publisher change is going to change the outcome of the sales.

Perhaps that's a cover up for what they're really planning.
