iPad is made of metal, Wii U controller will be plastic, so much lighter.

I have just heard a bunch of people say it's smaller and lighter then it looks.

Currently playing:
3DS: KI: Uprising
Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles
"Heh, heh... Thanks... You're nice. Umm... Can I ask... a question? Your friends... What kind of... people are they? I wonder... Do these people... think of you...as a friend?"

It's light and comfy, or so I've been told.

Despite it's larger size, it's surprisingly light. It's the feel of it that is going to take some getting used to. And those damn Circle Pads. Grrrrrr. :D

I just can't remember exactly. It's pretty big, I remember being quite shocked at how large it was. Even after seeing it at the press conference on the screen, it still exceeded what I expected. But it was very light and plasticy (probably not a real word) feeling. Felt more like a toy than an iPad.

Looks more like one, too.

I would have rather it weighed the same as an iPad. Light enough to be portable and comfortable to hold in one hand; solid enough that it doesn't feel like something I should be giving to a three year old.

What about the speaker inside of the controller? Were they of good quality?

Controller weight has need been an issue for me. It's kinda a silly thing to complain about in my opinion. I can't imagine someone's arms getting tired from playing with a remote. Rest it on your lap or something. Unless you've never played a sport in your life, you should be fine.

It's difficult to tell at E3. It's so loud on the convention center floors it's tough to hear what you're playing. And the sound on the HDTV display was very loud as well. So if there was sound coming out of the controller itself, I couldn't tell. LOL

It looks otherwise very large, but I don't think it's very heavy.

NiaLovesNinty - i would not expect them to be anything special. Judging by the photos and videos they are not much larger than those found in the 3DS, which means that they will sound kind of tinny. There is a standard 3,5mm stereo jack on the controller though, so if you need better audio you plug in your favorite headset and you're all set. ;)

As for the weight - I think it will be lighter than iPad. Shell is all plastic, and the resistive screen obviously can't be covered by glass, which greatly adds to Apple's tablet mass. And yes, it should be pretty comfortable playing while having the 'tabpad' rested on your lap.

Metroid lover, skreeeeeee!
