Topic: constant updates?

pretty much everytime i turn my wii u off i notice the light turn yellow which indicates its downloading or installing updates. also i get a message on the home screen saying "the data you have downloaded has finished installing" pretty much every time i use the console. it doesnt seem to be causing any problems, i just wondered if this was normal or worth looking into further?

I think that is normal, the yellow light means it is either downloading or at least looking for a download. I also think if you boot-up the application that was updated the notice will disappear.

Doesn't it light up when it's looking for Spotpass content as well?

Yellow just means its at the very least looking for things

The yellow light means it is either resuming downloads or searching for updates you didn't initiate, manually.

If it keeps telling you data has been installed, that means you didn't launch the software that was updated. Launch the softeare that was updated, and the notification will go away.
