Wow Nintendo must have been an absolutely awful partner for EA to completely go back on all of what they said at E3. Or the Wii U was just really disappointing.
Either way I don't care. I never play EA's games. I also have a 360 if I ever wanted to. Sucks for people who look forward to their stuff.
I'm not a fan of sports games so no biggie. As for battlefield, that franchise wasn't a big deal until all the hipsters labeled it as the new Call of Duty. EA is not as big as a deal as they were a while back. There are other super publishers around now.
Currently Playing: Splatoon, Need for Speed Rivals
Does anyone know exactly why EA is so butt hurt? I mean its kinda extreme to say your Developing for a console then not develop anything for it, it must be a good reason, right?

There may be many reasons for EA's decision, but when you consider that the company's financials have been weak and there are barely 3 million Wii U consoles out there, it would be poor business to invest in Wii U at this time.
I wonder if anyone read the part where it says doesn't have anything in development for Wii U currently. The way you people are going at it your acting like they will never make a game for the Wii U.

Do you honestly want to hear more bad news about the Wii U sales? Because that's what you would get if EA gave a reason.
Like @Burning_Spear just said, EA is going through their own problems right now and had to cut costs somewhere.
Cut costs somewhere or cut costs everywhere? EA have been going through deals like Mario goes through powerups. They buy a dev and then a while later fire everyone and shut the place down. They're not exactly making much sense right now.

Nobody knows the real reason. My guess is it has to do with blocking used games. Sony said they will "do the right thing" whatever that means. The endless nextbox always online rumors points to both may have a used game blocking system built-in. EA hates used game sales and was one of the first with online pass. I'm just looking at resent history of what EA has said. You could even say that was why they wanted origin on the wii u.

It's been confirmed that PS4 won't block used games. I think rumors about xbox 720blocking used games have been dubunked, but I can't remember and I can't find the annoucement.
