Imagine how disappointing it would be if the 4 demos were for Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, Game & Wario, and New Super Luigi U...(Even though the first 2 are really likely but I hope the last 2 aren't.)

Pikmin 3, as we've all been saying, will deifnitely be one.
I know we don't want it to be, but realistically speaking New Super Luigi U will probably be another one.
I do think The Wonderful 101 will be offered, and that's awesome!
The last one I'm not sure on. Smash Brothers would sell millions of systems that day, but we know that won't happen. Mario Kart would be a FANTASTIC idea on Nintendo's part, if it's even ready to be played yet.

Yes, but who knows in what condition? Allowing the general public to play games that are VERY EARLY in playable form would be suicide - could you imagine the hate posts by frustrated people who don't understand that early versions of games aren't bug free? Even kids who beta test MMOs these days complain about bugs, data wipes, etc. You signed up for a beta!!!!! lol
Anyways, I don't think they will be putting anything in Best Buy that is not 100% smoothly playable. Mario Kart U may be playable for the press, people who are used to playing early versions and overlooking certain rough spots, but we all know Nintendo: if it's not as smooth as a baby's bottom, they ain't letting us play it.

An excellent point to be sure. But if the rumours (and/or confirmations) are true and 3D Mario/Mario Kart are coming out before the end of the year, one or both games should be in almost finished shape. Ergo, there is a sizable (if unlikely) chance that either one or both will be among the Best Buy demos.

Almost 100% positive. Now the real question is, will they surprise us with a 5th game that was totally unmentioned?

Very easy to fake something like that especially when, maybe coincidentally, all of the games on it have established logos. It seems probable but I wouldn't be so sure if I was you. Also if I was Nintendo and wanted to build hype I'd be putting the 3D Mario and Mario Kart demos on there....
