so from what i've heard the screenshots are taken from the gamepad, so we can't judge the graphics by that.
i preordered it because i skipped the last two entries. as long as it looks better than black ops on the 360, i'm fine.

Gaming Appreciation.

If the screens are taken from the GamePad then it would explain the low-res quality of the photos. I think we have to wait for someone to make a video of the WiiU version when it comes out before we can see the game in motion, though.

Have both a PS3 and Wii U...and will definitely be getting the PS3 version. Wii U will probably never get the new map packs, and there will be 100x more people playing online on PS3. Plus the PS3 controller is perfect for COD games. I'll get the Wii U version of any other game over PS3, but not COD. Nintendo could care less about online multiplayer experiences...they've proven that time and time again.

Actually, it was Activision's fault that no DLC for BO II happened. Same thing with the absence of clans in Ghosts.

I'm guessing you would get the game if it had DLC. A small community shouldn't really effect anyone. I never ran into the same people with 7,000 players, and it was the better version(Black Ops II).

I was going to definitely buy day one until yesterday, honestly. Wii U will be my only system for a LONG time, so it's either that or bust.

How did Wii U run Black Ops II at 720p when it basically looks the same? My first impression from this info is that PS4 is easier to get things running on without much effort. That doesn't mean it's impossible on other systems, just that it's harder to get running as well.

It didn't...it ran at 880x720 as well SCAR.

Good point, I'm still taking this game in particular with a tablespoon of salt, considering Trayarch/Activision's own apathy toward the Wii U and Nintendo in general.

You mean by being one of the only 3rd parties that still puts out there triple A's on Wii U, especially day one....?

Sorry. I wasn't aware. I just assumed 720p without using Google. That's pretty bad that Activision can't get their biggest series running at even 720p...

Not in that respect. I meant more like one of the 3rd parties that doesn't have enough faith in the Wii U to justify including features that all of the other versions have, as well as the DLC.

Please, please do not speak ill of Treyarch. Besides Finest Hour, Treyarch has made the Nintendo version of every console Call of Duty game. If not for Treyarch, we wouldn't have even got Infinity Ward's Call of Duty games. Treyarch has been making their own CoD games and porting IW's also, because IW just laughs at the idea of making a game for a Nintendo system. Treyarch has done a lot for Nintendo and has proven their passion for the console, because they are NOT making the Nintendo versions for the money. The Nintendo versions require more work and make less money, so it really bothers me when I see people say things like that about Treyarch.

They could, hell it'll be running at native 1080p on PS4, but frame rates come first with those guys.

I think the game could run at a higher res on ANY system if they had a little more time. That's why I don't care for these annual releases. I think the games would be better for it(not releasing annually).

Never the less, they probably look at the Wii U version as a budget priced 8th gen game. Really, any 7th gen game on the Wii U should be $40 at this point. I think it will happen eventually, but if they want Wii U owners to buy a ported game with a little less quality than Xbox One/PS4, they're gonna have to give us some sort of deal. Granted, this is if the said games get ported in the first place.

EDIT: Also, I am taking the GamePad into accoun. I just figure getting GamePad features into the game is probably easier than upping the graphics and such, but that doesn't mean they should skimp out on purpose either, though.

^The WiiU versions are already cheaper than the PS4/XBO versions. Most often the WiiU pricing is concurrent with the PS3/360 pricing.

I agree with almost everything you said, except that's it's not for the money. Activision doesn't do "labours of love". They ported COD to the Wii and made good money with it, with Wii U they might not have made profit yet, but they will eventually. Maybe already this year with Ghosts, as the Wii U userbase grows a tad.

I guess I should have said, "it's not JUST for the money."

Where are you getting that from? As far as I can tell, Watch_Dogs, AC 4, COD Ghosts, etc. games will all be $60 on every platform. Even PS4 exclusives are $60.

If you kean Wii U games that it's been getting with Xbox 360 and PS3 are the same price, you would be correct for the most part(besides Batman and Dues Ex), but I'm talking games that will be available on all systems that will be $60. The Xbox One and the Xbox 360 version of a game will cost the same.

My mistake, I got the idea that they were cheaper since the current-gen/next-gen versions are priced differently on Amazon UK. That isn't the case on their american counterpart.

So who here is getting rid of their COD Black Ops II game on Wii U for Ghosts? I'm thinking about doing that... I would never play it again if I got Ghosts anyway. That's just me though.

I can't justify having more than one COD game in my cabinet.

I thought about doing that same exact thing myself. If COD:Ghosts gets superior support than BLOPS II and is in general a better game, then out the window with Black Ops II I say.

I think I'm going to pass on Ghost. Just as I most likely will the next few COD titles.

Higher res than sub-720p? Yeah I agree. Not a fan of yearly releases either though I'll be picking this one up I almost never do pick up a COD.
