Topic: Can't find your TV listed in the Wii U?

Then post in a thread designed to capture those brands that didn't make the Wii U's extensive list - like I did - and you never know where help will come from - like one of the members of the team that contributed to the Wii U's TV remote app.

Just keep the thread free of 'mine works' and 'you should have bought a....' comments and it'll be useful.

Anybody in Australia, New Zealand, or the UK with a:
Kogan 32" LED TV, model KHLED32XXXYB
select from the TV remote menu:
Brand: CMX
Remote code# : 2

For all other Kogan models, try the range of CMX codes first then post here if you still have no luck and we'll see what happens.

Any other unlisted HD TV brands are welcome to post for assistance but please also state which country you reside in.

Great thread.

"Elemis" (16:9, PAL) - not a HD tv but would be nice to use the GamePad on it until I have a new HDtv.
Does anyone know which setting I could try or a site that could help out?

I started the thread over on the Vooks forum originally and thought having a similar on here might help a few people out without having to register with a new forum.

If this one sinks through lack of interest it might be worth heading over that way but I'd hoped it'd rate a little better than the 'Wii U is doomed' crap that seems to be pervasive in every second thread and posted by the usual suspects, at the moment.

You probably have so forgive me, but have you tried emailing Nintendo's customer service with this question? It would be interesting to see if they give a solution. If you already have, what did they say about it? I'm sure those of us with older hdtvs would be interested in their response too.

Hi SKTTR,

Please try the first code for the brand "Walker", and if that does not work, the first code of the brand "Techno".

Hi Sleeve, thanks for your response.

With "Walker" I can get a signal, switching channels works, but most other functions aren't properly mapped to the buttons.

Hi SKTTR, if you are saying that Power and Volume control do not work with that code, I'm afraid you're out of luck.

If you provide more detail (modelnumber, link to manual or remote picture) we can look into it again, although your odds have shrunk considerably.

Greetings...

It's an ELEMIS 6870 TN MEGA. I'll see if I can get a snap of the remote.

Hi SKTTR, try Proline code #11. It's an educated guess, but a guess nonetheless.

Nice thread Schprocket.

I'm in Australia, and I've had no luck with the TV function on my Wii U. First, I tried programming it through my Foxtel satellite box (with a Phillips remote).

Secondly, I tried to do it through my 42' Sanyo. Alas, to no avail...

SKTTR, sorry to hear that. A picture of the remote may help.

Kage, please post your Sanyo model number so we can take a deeper look into it.

As for the Foxtel, I'm afraid this will not work at the moment.

Thank you

So Foxtel cable doesn't work either? Damn. I've got a Soniq 42" HDTV, model number: QSP425T but when I choose Soniq from the list & test the "volume" & "input" buttons, nothing happens Any ideas?

Hi WiiLovePeace, please try the first 10 Prosonic codes, and let us know if that worked.

Kind Regards

Thanks heaps Sleeve Prosonic code number 5 worked for my TV Now I can only hope to one day be able to control my Foxtel with the Wii U's TV function.

I wonder if Sleeve or anyone else can help.

I have a Bauhn 42" purchased from Aldi (Australia)

Make: Bauhn
Model: AS-42FHD1

I believe it's also sold under the Make "skyview or GVA' but I tried GVA and it didn't work.

Any other suggestions for similar remote codes to try would be great

Thanks,
Mark.

Sleeve

Strat, if your Bauhn remote has a "UPlayer" key on it, i'm afraid you're out of luck for now. If not, please post a picture of it. Thank you.

My Wii U won't work with my sanyo LED24XR113D all 28 settings & not a single one works.

The Wii U should have a learning function still.
maybe thats for a future update.
