Topic: Can You Transfer Data From A Physical Disc to a Digital Copy?

So my copy of Smash Wii U is more or less broken, and I want to download it from the eShop without having to unlock everything again. Is there a way to do this?

Um I want to say yes, because I know that the Wii U stores game and save data separately. Just as you could put in two different Smash discs in your Wii U and play the same save file, you should be able to do the same with a digital copy.

Yes you can. Wii U stores save data on its own memory, and physical and digital titles use the same save data.

I had Game & Wario on disc, but then I got digital and used the same data.
