Sorry if this has already been answered but can zombiU be played just on the game pad because I want to have the wii u in the living room but I have a little sister and don't think she should watch that so I wouldn't be able to play it

Am pretty sure you can't.

There is a list of games on the internet that shows what launch games that can be played on the controller. ZombiU was not one of them. Call Of Duty and Mario where 2 games on the list I can remember at the top of my head.

I doubt it. The main appeal of the game is that you switch from the tv to Gamepad and back to increase difficulty. Or something.

Try a XENOBLADE CHRONICLES X LET'S PLAY now for the cost of nothing! : D

Well, that sucks, after Nintendo having advertised that you aren't restricted to the TV to play games, as only a select set will actually do that.

As a dev of blargSNES, just stop with the claims that o3DS can emulate SNES games accurately @ 60fps. It cannot.

Well that's probably leaning more to the games in which the gamepad wouldn't be as much of the main focus(or the developers don't want to be as bothered with making something useful out of it, sadly), so it wouldn't really hinder gameplay as much if you decide to not use the second screen. Games like ZombiU really seem to be trying to utilise it the best they can though.

From what I've been told: yes. But thats not a 100% valid answer.

. I doubt it.. Due to the game mechanics and how it uses the game pad, it is one game that will not work without the tv..

From what I hear, NGIII and NSMBU are the only titles

So, uh, to answer the topic the answer is unfortunately no.

there are others that would allow you to play it while someone else is using the tv for something else...

darksiders 2 is another game that will allow it..

i think weother a game would allow it or not is dependant on if the game uses the gamepad in a certain way...

Hi there again. Sarah here.

I wondered that too. I guess I already agreed with the "nos" cos you'd lose all the extra gamepad functions (map etc). Cheers for your help anyway.

Most games (I think almost all of them) allow off-tv play but ZombiU doesn't. It will be difficult to design the game without. I'ts commendable that Mass Effect 3 and Arkham City:AE which also use the game pad a lot managed to pull it off though.

But ZombiU is similar to Lego City Undercover or Nintendo Land in that way, it is absolutely integrated.

Definitive answer: No, ZombiU does not have off-tv play. The gamepad is used as your BOB, and is heavily integrated into the game.
