Just today Take-Two Interactive according to a 4Chan user has no plans to release GTA V on the Wii U & 2K Sports also will not bring WWE game to Wii U.

Well at least you're citing credible sources now, and not http://www.p4rgaming.com.

You should have read comment #7 before posting that...

One day, people are going to run out of excuses for why Nintendo is doom bound...
Wii U is out before the PS4, and has been improving since it was released which PS4 will assumingly do its first year as well. The Wii U doesn't have to even try to sell well until their competitors release their consoles.
The Wii U being out on the market a year before any other considerable console is good enough in itself.
By the time PS4 hits, Wii U will already be a bad ass console that has covered alot of ground. As for Xbox, I'm getting that, too.
I personally won't need an PS4, because Wii U has the motion remote and touch screen controller, and Xbox will have the motion sensor and everything else.
If anything, we should be hearing how PS4 is destined to fail. That's the only console that truly won't have anything new to offer besides graphics. Xbox will have graphics, AND new hardware like the next Kinect and such.
PS has been behind in the game since PS1. We never hear about any other console possibly failing.
Nintendo isn't the only company, and I willing to bet Nintendo is taking the benefit of the doubt at this point. Wait and see. Quit b***ing and play your video games.

Nintendo console for Nintendo games, and the odd gem.

That odd gem will recieve low sales and a reduced chance of a future sequel.

Which is a problem for Nintendo.

Ouya will be out late next month too & will be competing with the Wii U on Virtual Console & smartphone games.

OUYA offers emulators for older games. That isn't gonna sit well when Nintendo notices they aren't making as much money as they should, because they are playing them on OUYA's emulator.
I expect to see nothing but trash on the OUYA online store. It doesn't have a touch screen, enough horsepower, potential, etc.
Screw the OUYA.
There's a happy medium for these things, and as far as I can tell, OUYA is like disarming a bomb cold turkey.

But Ouya will be running smartphone games much like the Wii U. You don't really need $300 to play smartphone games when you can get Ouya for $99.

How are you going to play touch screen smartphone games? Oh...
As far as I'm concerned, Wii U will adopt every noteworthy game for the eShop. Then people can just go back to using their phone for phone calls and texting like they're supposed to mainly do.
In the end, a phone is a phone. Wii U is a gaming console. If/when the Wii U turns the eShop into an app store with full console games, and the good smartphone games, people are going to want that on a bigger screen, with more horsepower than a portable device to boot.

EDIT: Nintendo is bringing home the goods, and people will eventually see that once the apps and games come rolling in. Nintendo isn't messing around. They care about the business. That's why they became involved in the first place. They want to succeed, and if that means being as bad ass as possible, then so be it.

Tell that to casual gamers particularly moms who like to play Bejeweled, Plants vs Zombies, Candy Crush, etc. on smartphones & post high scores on their Facebook page for their friends to bet. My wife is no gamer nor touched my game consoles but she's sure can play Bejeweled & Candy Crush on her iPhone like an expert even PMing her friends who played the same to give her more lives on Candy Crush.

Few weeks ago my wife & I went for lunch & as we waited to be seated an older lady saw my wife playing Candy Crush & told us she played it too as well as her son. This people are not the type of people who play on Wii U but they play on smartphone. It so happened that there's so many of them now way more than the entire Wii U, PS3 & Xbox 360 gamers combined.

It's probably the Wii all over again, andI it looks to me the Wii compared well sales wise with PS3/360.

EA is all about the $ and since Nintendo wouldnt let them put Origin/DRM/Always Online on Wii U they are not supporting. Simple as that. So what is most important to you? As a consumer? Do you want to support EA and give a big thumbs up to this development? Or do you want to support Nintendo who doesnt want to take away your rights as a consumer? Your choice.

Will Wii U survive? Yes, as you already asked in the previous thread (that was locked for obvious reasons), it will. Nintendo will not go into bankrupcty. Nintendo has never been as succesful as they are now. This is a fact. Wii are their most succesful platform ever. Did EA titles like Boom Blox and the Dead Space-railshooter made that success? No! Nintendo did.

Everytime you mention the Ouya your credibility drops another five notches..

If GTA did come to the Wii U I would be pretty surprised. Not that it bothers me that much given I have other platforms I could play it on and wasn't going to pick it up anyway......

Yah, you're right. I believed you.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. TBH I'm just not that interested in GTA as I once was, it's not really doing anything new anymore. Personally I think Watch Dogs is a more interesting idea in theory at least, so I'm much more hyped about that than I am about another GTA.

@Cheaptrick
Just keep your Wii U. Things will pick up. Nintendo won't allow themselves to fail. They just released a new console that they stand by.
There is plenty of potential for the system.

Also has anyone actually said that the new Call of Duty isnt coming to Wii U? Has EA said that they arent going to release FIFA and other franchises?

You sourced from someone that doesnt even work for the companies and is just giving hearsay! Until EA or whoever comes out and says that there not going to release for the Wii U whatever games their developing, then to me, there's still a good chance of getting FIFA or CoD.

What has been said is that there wont be a Madden 14 or Tiger Woods 14 on Wii U. That is official. Then again it is said, although not yet from EA, that all versions of Tiger Woods 14 has been cancelled so one should perhaps not put that much thought into that.

Regarding FIFA 14 there is no Wii U-version announced, then again - there is no next-gen version announced. This is not weird, historically EA Sports has always been... a bit special when it comes to a new console-gen. Xbox 360 didnt get FIFA 06, instead it got a Road to World Cup 06-game. And when the yearly ones actually started arriving they were gimped versions of the past-gen versions, much like FIFA 13 was on the Wii U. It will, as always, take time for EA Sports to adjust to the new platforms.

The only thing that has been said about Call of Duty: Ghosts is that it will be out for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. ActiVision has said "We are not yet commenting on the next-gen versions" when asked about Wii U. So it remains to be seen.

And again, I have no idea why you'd bother to point that out. As if me being not interested in another GTA was a point worth commenting on further. TBH I took it as you again trying to argue that everyone on this forum is ONLY interested in games that come to Nintendo platforms. That it's obvious that I wouldn't be interested in GTA because I'm a "Nintendo gamer". That's what I have a problem with.

The notion that the Wii U needs EA's support to survive is ridiculous. Just look at the best selling Wii games. Of the top 25, only two aren't Nintendo games, and they are both made by Ubisoft (two others were also joint projects with Sega). EA had no part in the Wii's success and the Wii U can do just the same without them. Now none of that is to say, the Wii U wouldn't benefit from additional third party support. Nintendo just doesn't need EA to "survive."
