Topic: can wii u make a come back in third party games?

Nintendo Land, Game & Wario, Lego City Undercover, the uses in Zelda, SM3DWorld, Wii Fit U, Pikmin... yeah nothing.

as Iwata himself has said, nintendo has not created a satisfactory single player gamepad experience, one that shows how the gamepad can really add something special for the gameplay...nobody is buying the wii u for maps and inventory on the gamepad :/

Probably, if the Wii U picks up steam.

Other than Nintendoland none of those games neededthe gamepad to be made.

So am I understanding this right that Assassin’s Creed V is not coming to Wii U? Cause there goes that Ubisoft support. Done as soon as Watch Dogs comes out. At least still got Nintendo games.

No, they don't. It just makes them super cool which is the purpose. No game needs HD either. Or sound. To be made.

I just find it ironic and hypocritical how all the PS fans didn't buy Wii U for reasons that now plague the PS4, such as:
Lack of games
No "killer" app
More expensive

It also has:
No Move support
The PS Eye doesn't contribute much, despite being a core peripheral
PS Vita is an expensive extra purchase for off-TV, second screen features
No ect. HDD support(yet)
Online subscription

People have no right to criticise Nintendo with arguably more shortcomings on Sony's part.
No online and multiplayer in The Order 1886... The list goes on, so I think people should lay off.

Also, I agree with @WaveBoy. 3rd parties are messing up their crap, anyway. Battlefield 4 was a glitch fest, CoD still qualifies as a port, GTA hasn'tbeen announced for Xbox One or PS4 either, Tomb Raider did poorly in 7th gen, ZombiU still lost money with decent sales, etc.

Things, all around, aren't very swell in video game land.

It depends on your opinion. Lego City is better with the GamePad, so it requires it. Game & Wario needs it(look at Gamer or the tank game), Pikmin had the map without pausing and added more strategy...

I don't think there's really any debate about whether a second screen adds more GamePlay options and other features. The same arguments were around when DS was still new, and that was settled long ago.

All these consoles have their flaws. That's all I'm pointing out. Xbox One doesn't have ext. HDDs and requires online for the first boot up. Happy now? I just don't like how everyone criticises Nintendo, but then give Microsoft and Sony the pass. It's hypocrisy.

So apparently people are able to criticise Nintendo, but not able to criticise Sony or Microsoft?

Problem is this thread is talking about the Wii Us current problem in terms of 3rd party support a problem the PS4 does not suffer from currently yet you go off on drastic tangents to involve it negatively in the discussion I'm just wondering why really.

You can blame the tangents on other posters in this forum. I wouldn't even be bringing up PS4 if users weren't actively bringing up PS4 in a Wii U thread. This is strictly a "right back at ya" response, so it's warranted.

Yes, Wii U still has a chance for 8th generation 3rd party support. They supported Xbox One and PS4 with no sales, and the likes of EA, Crytek, Ubisoft are making improvements for Wii U. 2K hasn't really said anything, so it's better not to assume, either way.

Actually your post (the one I first quoted) is the only one that goes off on a huge tangent.

EDIT: Not only does this go off the thread topic, but has also brought about discussion of the PS4.

I am not happy with the overall quality that is being produced for the 3rd party big multi platform stuff. (Which seems to be basically all of it).

If it was stuff like Viewtiful Joe / Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg or even the Arcade to Gamecube ports that would be totally different.

Do you ever get the feeling people just look for reasons to complain about anything and everything? I do.

Wii U has no 3rd party support.
PS4 has a couple of games without online multiplayer.
XB1 has to connect to Internet once.

Well you're wrong I saw that post which if you didn't realise is referring to sales which directly effect 3rd party developers deciding bringing games to a console along with attach rate whereas your post had next to nothing to do with Wii U getting 3rd party support also your complaints had next to nothing to do with PS4 getting 3rd party games.
