Went to GameStop today they're sold out of deluxe wii u's > throughout all the gamestops and I checked other stores and from what I've gathered they're all out too so I preordered the basic wii u just to make sure I have some sort of wii u on release day and the main concern of mine is will I be able to purchase Nintendo network premium still or no? I don't care about memory since I can go out and buy a huge USB drive

i would think it may if you pay for the subscription... if this is nintendos answer to psn+ they kinda have to offer it to those willing to pay for it....
Ya I figured just wanted to make sure a lot more hype than what I thought there would be, makes me realize how bad the 3ds' start was gonna keep an eye out for a deluxe set though

For now it's only with the deluxe system, but I've heard it'll be available to buy separately eventually. It's like buying a playstation plus subscription.

Is it confirmed that it is a subscription and not a lifetime deal for deluxe buyers?

“No, that’s tied directly to the Deluxe set… When you’re purchasing digital content, what that does is it gets you credit back that you can then build up and use to purchase additional digital content. That’s the idea behind the promotion.”

Thats what was said so there's your answer.
That's what I was thinking too, because that's all I had heard. What I want to know then is if the deluxe set will keep being restocked.

Can anyone even confirm it comes with the Deluxe set? The only time I saw anything about it was for the Japanese Premium console, and I don't think that came with the Nintendo Land game like the Deluxe set does, which kind of led me to believe the Deluxe set wouldn't have it, hence why they called it Deluxe rather than Premium outside of Japan.
Spend 1000 points, get 100 points back. That's how it works....it's not a subscription, that you can buy, like Playstation Plus. Doesn't come with the basic Wii U
If you buy the white model, you save $50. Use that $50 to buy games. You'd have to spend $500 on games with the "Deluxe Digital Promotion" to get $50 worth of credit.
I pre-ordered the black model but not for the promotion.
But is it a lifetime promotion and is it only for early adopters? Can I buy a deluxe version next year that's what I need to know. Because promotions like that are always great bonuses if you're going to be buying the games anyway.

The promotion runs until the end of December 2014. Nintendo hasn't said how long the Premium Pack / Deluxe Set etc. will carry the promotion, but I think it'll be available for quite a while.
This is a good question. It might be an incentive to get people buying the more costly edition, but it might become available for subscription later on.
