Topic: Campbell's Soup commercial feat. Wii U

Just now I saw a Campbell's Soup commercial on ABC (primetime), where they were advertising their new Super Mario chicken noodle soup, and it featured a family playing NSMBU with the Gamepad on Wii U.

Wonder if this is part of their plan to license out their IP (though this seems a bit too early for that). Interesting nonetheless.

Maybe but I been buying 3D Mario candies for a while so I don't know if this is the same plan from the meeting.

Yeah, I figured this wasn't part of their upcoming IP licensing plan, since I've seen the soup in stores for the past 6 months or so (and it seems to move more cans than the Scooby-Doo, Disney Princess, or even Pineas & Ferb soups do, at my local super market, interestingly enough), but I thought it was kind of cool to see a commercial for it during primetime (especially since it featured the Wii U).

The Mario Campbell's chicken noodle has been available since before Nintendo announced they would be doing the cross promotion with other companies. I bought a can of it about a week before the bad news about Nintendo's sales figures hit.

Needless to say, the greatness of Mario and friends could not make up for the crap that's in that can...

But this is not advertising to the mature crowd so it doesn't count

I bought that soup almost a year ago. I never opened it up. In fact, I have no idea where it is.

Do you still plan to eat it, once you find it?

Nope, it's a collectors item.

Knowing myself then I probably likely will. I always lurking in fridges and corners looking for foods of some sort even I hate the favours.

I still have the box of Super Mario gummies that say "New" on them. Not New Super Mario Bros, but as in "They put new on the box, but once it's not new anymore, they take the new off". I even still have the Mario and Luigi Wii U burger king kids meal boxes, and they both don't have grease on them.
